At the beginning of the winter holidays, my family and I embarked on a journey to Singapore. This trip means a lot to me because I haven't been to Singapore for a long time. Even though the country is known for its high spending, we are intrigued. Below I will record in detail the travel experience and consumption summary of the five of us for five days and four nights.
We booked a Singapore Airlines ticket three months in advance for a direct flight to Shanghai for 3,000 yuan per person, for a total of 15,000 yuan. Singapore Airlines has always been praised for its excellent facilities and services, and although the cold drinks after the meal have dropped from Häagen-Dazs to Kaido and Menglong, this has not affected our good impression of it. Flights** are relatively cheap, and it's the best part of our itinerary.
It is also worth mentioning that when we flew on Singapore Airlines more than 10 years ago, we enjoyed the delicious taste of Häagen-Dazs. Although its status has now been replaced, this small detail also makes me sigh that time has passed.
Hotels in Singapore are significantly higher than they were 10 years ago. This time we booked two nights at the Marina Bay Hotel for 2,300 yuan per night with breakfast, and two nights at the Sentosa hotel for 1,300 yuan per night without breakfast, for a total of 14,000 yuan. If you're on a budget, I highly recommend staying near Marina Bay. We had a sea view room on the 55th floor, with a very wide view of the whole of Singapore from the balcony. Such a luxurious stay made our trip a lot of memorable ones.
The total cost of the ticket is 3,500 yuan. We went to Gardens by the Bay (460 RMB), River Safari (500 RMB), Universal Studios (1900 RMB) and Sky Luge (650 RMB). One of the most surprising is the River Safari, where we saw a lot of giant river animals, such as the big crucian carp and the big black fish, which are several times larger than the usual ones, which is very impressive! I recommend parents to bring their children along, it will be an unforgettable experience.
As for the skyline luge, I personally feel that the experience is average. Although we bought tickets for four laps, we only skied two laps. However, it should be noted that the above fees are only for the four major attractions and the Skyline Luge, and the entrance fees for other attractions are not included.
In Singapore, we spent about $5,000 on food and beverages. The most expensive meal is Jumbo Seafood, and as a tourist, this is where we specially go to check in. The five of us ordered a crab, razor clams and some side dishes, totaling S$360, which is equivalent to less than 2,000 RMB. Although it was quite high, we ate very contentedly.
In addition, we went to Songfa Bak Kut Teh, as well as tasting the local foodrepublic food twice, and breakfast at the hotel twice. At Universal Studios, we tried a quick bite to eat, chicken rice for S$16 per person; At Gardens by the Bay, we enjoyed a quick food burger. All of the above adds up to about S$500, which is equivalent to 2,800 RMB. For the five of us, this diet is indeed a bit expensive. In Singapore, food comes at a price.
Our transportation costs totaled 2,500 RMB. We booked a car in advance for a round trip from the airport and paid a fee of 300 yuan, for a total of 600 yuan for the round trip. In addition, we also rented a car for a day and spent a total of 1,550 yuan. In addition, there were two taxi rides that cost S$55, and each time the distance was around 2km.
Singapore is easily accessible and flexible, and we can choose from a variety of ways to get to our destinations, allowing us to better plan our travel routes.
Our trip was mainly for sightseeing, and there was no interest in shopping. However, at the Changi Airport terminal, we still spent some money on bone-setting plasters, snacks and toys that the kids wanted, totaling S$500, which is equivalent to RMB2,800.
Summing up the five-day and four-night Singapore tourism consumption of a family of five, a total of about 42,800 yuan was spent. For the average salaried class, this ** is indeed on the high side. Singapore is more expensive to spend compared to European travel. Perhaps this is also a true portrayal of Singapore as a high-spending country.
Singapore attracts the attention of countless tourists with its unique scenery and bustling city charm. Despite the high cost of travel, Singapore's rich variety of culture, cuisine and attractions, as well as its convenient transportation and high-quality services, make this place worth visiting.
Finally, I hope that more people will be able to travel to Singapore in the future to experience the unique charm of this high-spending country and create their own wonderful memories.
