On February 17, the 14th National Winter Games opened in Inner Mongolia. This is the first large-scale comprehensive event of national winter sports to be held after the Beijing Winter Olympics. Among them, snow sports are very demanding on the weather. The sudden "patronage" of high winds, the "left and right" of low temperatures, etc., often have a great impact on the game. In order to enable athletes to gallop on the snow, the "14th Winter" meteorological support team accurately "pulse" the weather of the venue through a three-dimensional meteorological observation system, a refined meteorological forecasting system and a professional meteorological service system to provide guarantee for the event.
During the "14th Winter" competition, the meteorological support service team of Zhalantun Jinlongshan Ski Resort will be busy making weather bulletins and forecasts of key points every day. The meteorological products they produce every day will be published on the "14th Winter" meteorological service topic** and the Winter Meteorological Mini Program, so that the competition team and related working groups can grasp the weather in a timely manner.
In order to meet the needs of vertical atmospheric real-time data, a ground-based remote sensing vertical observation system was set up in the Zhalantun competition area in the "14th Winter", which can realize minute-level continuous observation of vertical atmospheric temperature, wind direction, wind speed, clouds and other elements from the ground to the upper altitude of 10 kilometers.
The hourly to the next 10-day forecast of 14 forecast product points such as the big air starting area and the top of the ski mountaineering in the Zhalantun competition area can be completed in the system. The "14th Winter" meteorological field service system can very clearly display the temperature of each competition point and the hour-by-hour temperature and wind speed forecast.
