The National International Checkers Championship for Middle School Students recently came to an end in Rizhao City, Shandong Province. This is the first time that the China International Checkers Association and the China Middle School Sports Association have jointly organized an international checkers championship event with primary and secondary schools as the participating groups, with a total of 510 young international checkers enthusiasts from 16 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and 168 schools across the country participating in the competition.
More than 20 people from Huishi Primary School, Xiangyang Primary School, Weiyu Junior High School and other schools in Xuhui District signed up for the competition. The young chess players played stably in such a high-level competition, which fully demonstrated the excellent demeanor of the chess players in our district. According to the rules of the competition, the top two players in each group of the competition are qualified to represent the motherland in the Asian International Checkers Championship.
