The 2024 Spring Festival is in full swing. At less than 5 o'clock in the morning on February 4, before dawn, the reporter set off to follow a special trip home. Nine ice hockey players at the Youth Paralympic Games embarked on a heartwarming journey back to their hometowns under the guidance of 10 volunteers.

10 volunteers were in place early to ensure a seamless relay With the bright sky, Liu Xu, a volunteer from Qingchuang Driving School, came to Qingdao Guoxin Sports Center Hotel early in the morning, where 9 Chinese Paralympic ice hockey players were waiting to return to their hometowns at the station.

At 6:30, Liu Xu drove several Paralympic ice hockey players to Qingdao North Railway Station on time. At the same time, Xu Gang, a volunteer from Laoshan Bus, also rushed to Qingdao Station with a Paralympic ice hockey player. Follow-up volunteers Ding Linlin and Xu Jun also arrived at the hotel and sent the four Paralympic ice hockey players to Jiaodong International Airport and Qingdao North Railway Station on time. The volunteers sent the station to Qingdao Railway Station, Qingdao North Railway Station and Jiaodong International Airport in four routes.

As soon as the athletes arrived at the station, they were greeted by station volunteers.

At 6:50, Wang Weiyan and other four station volunteers wore blue vests and waited early at the west entrance of Qingdao North Railway Station. They contacted the station master in advance so that they could smoothly take over the baton from the station master. When they saw the arrival of the athletes, they hurriedly took over the athletes' luggage, assisted them in quickly checking in and entering the station, and helped him arrange a comfortable waiting environment. In the waiting room, the returning athletes and volunteers chatted happily, and the process was not boring at all.

The athletes can rest in the waiting room with peace of mind, and volunteers will remind them when the time comes. At 7:54, the first athlete, Wang Wei, was sent to the bus, and ...... at 8:45, 8:38, 8:28, and 8:45The volunteers watched the time and sent them to the bus one by one as quickly as possible, assisted them in finding seats, put away their luggage, handed over hot water, and asked the flight attendants to take care of their priorities.

After everything was arranged, athlete Wang Zhidong stood up and reluctantly watched the volunteers leave, thanked them and waved goodbye, and wished the volunteers a happy New Year, which also made the hearts of the volunteers surge with a warm current.

At 5:21 p.m., at Qingdao North Railway Station, the last athlete, Ji Yanzhao, was sent to the train by Mu Qinghua, a volunteer at the station. On that day, 9 ice hockey players from the Youth Paralympic Games, 4 volunteers and 6 station volunteers successfully embarked on the way home.

"Today is particularly moving, from the moment we left the hotel, there were volunteers who sent us to the station enthusiastically. When we arrived at the station, there were station volunteers who connected with us in time, and also specially picked us up to the waiting room, I felt very warm, I didn't expect it before, I thought it was an ordinary trip home, I didn't expect this journey to be so warm. Wang Zhidong from Liaocheng is 24 years old this year, he has been training in Qingdao for five or six years, and has long regarded Qingdao as his "second hometown".

Wang Wei, the goalkeeper of the Chinese Paralympic ice hockey team, has been in Qingdao for more than three years, and he told reporters that he has benefited a lot from the training camp in Qingdao.

In the eighth year of the Spring Festival duty, you sent me to pick up, and the volunteers cooperated very tacitly, with warm smiles, fast pick-up, and meticulous care ......Let the athletes praise again and again, seeing such a smooth pick-up process, the reporter was curious about how to do it, and after some understanding, the reporter learned that the four station volunteers of Qingdao North Railway Station are all from Qingdao passenger depot.

This is the eighth year that volunteer Wang Weiyan has been in the Spring Festival transportation post, and she has not returned for the New Year for 8 consecutive years. Wang Weiyan, 29 years old from Henan, is a conductor of the Qingdao passenger depot EMU. She told reporters that her first contact with volunteer activities was in the Qingdao passenger depot launched the "I am your eyes" volunteer service project, in the first volunteer service was very touched, I did not expect that her small strength can bring so much sense of security to passengers, she also gained a sense of value, found the meaning of volunteer service. At first, she thought that sending a station was not a simple task, but the more she went on, the more she felt that volunteering was a university question. She said that she would continue to volunteer and hoped that more people would participate in volunteer service and provide convenience to more people.

Wang Yingjian joined the Qingdao Passenger Depot after graduating from university in 2022 and joined the volunteer service in March 2023. This is his second year working on the railway. In order to provide good service, Wang Yingjian and other volunteers have been making preparations since they received the notice on February 1, communicating with all parties to coordinate and arrange their time reasonably.

Volunteer Qu Jiangting has worked in Qingdao Passenger Depot for 7 years and has been participating in volunteer service for 4 years. Qu Jiangting is also the conductor of the 552nd high school, she is a 24-year-old girl from Shanxi. She told reporters that most of the key passengers such as the elderly and children are on the trains she serves, but there are few services like today, which is also a very novel experience for her, and the tenacity and sunshine of the athletes are also deeply infected by her.

This volunteer activity was different from usual. I have always admired the athletes I have always served, but I am also afraid that I will feel pressured by not taking care of them. As an intern who was just assigned to the Qingdao passenger depot last month, 21-year-old Wang Jingwei also immediately signed up. This is his third year of volunteering, and since his freshman year, he has been involved in volunteer service in the Jinan passenger depot, and he is also an enthusiastic public welfare activist at the school. "I've been thinking about how not to burden the athletes, and I had insomnia last night. Seeing that the delivery was a complete success, Wang Jingwei's hanging heart also relaxed, and he also showed a happy smile when he was serious and nervous in the process.

Helping others brings happiness to yourself. The volunteers from the Qingdao passenger depot have their own advantages in this regard, "as a passenger transporter, they are familiar with the riding environment, the ticket inspection process at the station, and when they are sent to the bus, they are familiar with the enlarged luggage and seats, and they can provide services to the service objects more conveniently and quickly."

It will last until March 5, and has escorted more than 50 people with disabilities to return to their hometowns Every Spring Festival, hundreds of millions of families embark on the road to return to their hometowns and reunite with their families to welcome the festive season. However, for people with disabilities, the Spring Festival is a long and arduous journey. They have difficulty in moving and traveling, and often face many inconveniences at stations and trains. Crowds, steep steps, and narrow passages can all be obstacles to their journey. In order to solve the needs of people with disabilities in the Spring Festival, in January 2022, the Qingdao Association for the Promotion of Barrier-free Environment launched the "Spring Festival Help for People with Disabilities" project to help people with disabilities return to their hometowns and return to work after the holiday. In 2024, during the Spring Festival, the Promotion Association plans to link up with social organizations to help the disabled in other provinces and cities to expand coverage, benefit people with disabilities in more areas, and continue to help people with disabilities return to their hometowns and jobs. So far, more than 50 people with disabilities have been escorted back to their hometowns, and the project will run until March 5. During this period, if there is a need for people with disabilities, they can contact Mr. Zhao of Qingdao Barrier-free Environment Promotion Association, and contact ** is 18653260618.
