Porsche has unveiled the fully revamped Taycan, a new model with more power, longer range, faster acceleration and better charging efficiency. The style Porsche division has also sharpened the exterior design of the Taycan and emphasised the uniqueness of the Turbo model. Each Taycan model is equipped with new standard equipment and a new generation of Porsche Driver Experience with innovative display and operating concepts.

Both the Porsche Taycan sports coupe and the Taycan Cross Turismo with an optional off-road package have undergone significant upgrades. Both models will be available with up to four powertrains, including rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The all-new facelifted model is expected to be launched in various markets starting in the spring of 2024.

Prior to the series production of the new Porsche Taycan, development engineers and test drivers had already tested more than 3.6 million road kilometers around the world in camouflage test cars in order to continue to refine Porsche's first all-electric sports car. Porsche has produced nearly 150,000 Taycans to date, and the main markets for the Taycan are the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and China.

With different driving styles and all other variables, the new Taycan battery can be charged from 10 to 80 in up to half the time compared to its predecessor. The Porsche Active Height Control system keeps the height of the vehicle permanently fixed, even when the Taycan is driving dynamically, such as braking, steering and acceleration. When riding smoothly, the suspension absorbs bumps almost completely; By distributing the load on each wheel during intense dynamic manoeuvring, the Porsche Active Height Control ensures perfect ground performance. If the corresponding mode is activated, the suspension system can compensate for pitch or roll in reverse to reduce the acceleration acting on the occupants.

More ways to be more efficient.

The key to the simultaneous increase in performance and efficiency is due to several factors: a new powertrain with a rear axle motor that delivers 108 ps more horsepower than its predecessor, an inverter with better software, a more powerful battery, an improved thermal management system, a new generation of high-efficiency heating equipment, and an improved kinetic energy recharge and all-wheel drive strategy. The kinetic energy recovery efficiency generated from high-speed deceleration has been increased by more than 30 to 400 kW from 290kW. Wheels with enhanced aerodynamics and tires with low rolling resistance are standard on every model. The new 21-inch wheels and tyres have also been developed to improve efficiency.

The equipment has been significantly increased and lighter.

Although the weight is reduced by up to 15kg, the standard equipment is more extensive than the previous model, including ambient interior lighting, electric heating system for the front seats, high-efficiency heating system with a new cooling system, wireless charging for mobile phones, charging ports on both the driver's and passenger seats, driving mode switcher and power assisted steering. The basic Porsche Taycan model is equipped with an active pneumatic suspension system and silver hair-patterned alloy sill as standard. In addition to the new equipment, the battery capacity of the new facelifted model has also been increased, but the weight has been reduced.

Style Porsche's design experts have made the body design of the new Taycan more concise and pure with a new head and tail light exterior styling. The new front fenders and flattened headlamp shapes emphasise the Taycan's body width. The headlamps of the new Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S feature high-resolution LED matrix headlamp technology with fine optics that highlight Porsche's signature four-point headlamps at night.

The Porsche logo in the light strip at the rear of the car has a three-dimensional, transparent shape and, for the first time, an illuminated version with a welcome and departure animation is available as an option. Among other obvious features, the Turbo Black color scheme makes the exterior and interior of the Turbo and Turbo S models more distinctive than the other variants.

A completely new control and display concept.

The instrument cluster, ** screen and optional passenger infotainment display have additional features and have been upgraded for the user interface.
