The avenue is flooded, and it can be left and right. All things are born without giving up, and they are not succeeding. Clothed all things and not the Lord. Often no desire, can be called small. All things are returned to the Lord, but they can be called great. It is not self-sufficient in the end, so it can become great.

The avenue is flooded, and it can be left and right. The avenue is very big, so big that it is everywhere, so big that there is no up and down, no high or low, no left and right.

When we talk about the word "pan", the first thing that comes to mind is flooding.

The generic word here refers to the meaning of big.

The so-called general friendship is actually just a large-scale interaction.

"Left and right" does not mean a very specific direction on the left and right, but an adjective, which refers more to the meaning of incomparable.

All things are born without giving up, and they are not succeeding. Clothed all things and not the Lord.

Everything in the world depends on the Tao for its survival, and the Tao is always with all things, and has made great contributions, but it does not possess it. Nourish all things, but don't be the masters of anything.

The "without resignation" here means that it is integrated into all things, not outside all things.

"Non-resignation" is the most remarkable, which refers to not intervening, not leaving, and not saying goodbye.

All things depend on the Tao to live and grow, but the Tao does not dominate all things, nourishes all things, but does not possess them at all.

We often say that we want to cultivate the Tao, and the so-called cultivation is to learn the various qualities of the Tao.

For example, everyone hates people who are greedy for small gains, but in fact, they hate the character of wanting to possess everything.

Greed is just an extreme manifestation of possession.

The so-called greed is a manifestation that has already met the basic needs, but still needs to possess more.

It's because we want to possess that we make ourselves so tired.

What you want to possess is essentially what you lack.

When we go to the river, we don't think about taking it all home.

Because we know that there is no shortage of water in our homes.

If a person wants everything and has nothing enough, it means that the person lacks everything, and such a life is very sad.

Everything is not mine, everything is for my use, this is the highest state.

Often no desire, can be called small. All things are returned to the Lord, but they can be called great.

Tao, selfless and desireless, can be called "small". All things are based on the Tao, but the Tao does not dominate all things, and it can be called "great".

The big and small here do not describe the size of the volume, but the meaning of contempt and attention.

In everyone's general cognition, large volume is called large; The one with high value is called big.

On the contrary, the small size is called small; The value is low, it is called small.

Air and water are generally considered to be of low value, so everyone looks down on them, but everything in the world is inseparable from air.

In the same way, the Tao is despised by us, but the Tao nourishes all things but does not dominate all things, and this is the real greatness.

For us personally, if we can maintain a state of desirelessness, selflessness, and selflessness, we can accommodate all things. not self-centered, creating everything, but not possessing; Achieving credit but not taking credit for it is called greatness.

Each of us likes to be with people who are desireless, selfless, and selfless, because it feels natural to be with such people.

And this natural feeling is how people feel about the Tao.

It is not self-sufficient in the end, so it can become great.

It is precisely because he does not think he is great that he can achieve its greatness and complete its greatness.

Lao Tzu said in the seventh chapter of the Tao Te Ching: After the body and the body first, the outside of the body and the body.

That is to say, there is no dispute in the face of humility, but it can lead among the others; Putting one's own life and death outside the realm can save one's own survival.

The situation conveyed by these two sentences is the same.

Many people will think, isn't this just a strategy of retreating?

In fact, this is fundamentally different from retreating.

The so-called retreat is to advance, the purpose is to advance, retreat, is just a form.

And "not being arrogant" is a state that comes from the heart.

I remember when I was in school, a teacher said: never take someone for a fool.

In fact, everyone can see that all the retreats that do not come from the heart are just unwilling to expose them, not how clever we are.

At the end of this chapter, I would like to say,When we study the Tao Te Ching, we learn its spirit, perceive nature to gain inner peace, and then behave calmly. A black belly will always be a small trick, and it won't be a big thing.

This is a family's words, if there is a mistake, everyone is welcome to criticize and correct.
