IT House reported on February 9 that Ubisoft launched the "Assassin's Creed: Nexus (Assassin's Creed Nexus Core VR)" game for the Meta Quest platform in November last year, which costs 39$99 (note from IT House: currently about 288 RMB) with support for the Quest 2 3 Pro headset, in which players can play as Ezio, Connor, and Kassandra.

IGN gave the game a score of 7, saying that it was "immersive" and enriched the VR world experience, but the game's combat experience was boring and the character modeling was "blurry" due to technical issues, but overall it was positive.

However, the sales of this game are still poor, and in the Q&A session of the recent Ubisoft earnings briefing, someone asked him "Do you have any plans to develop new titles for VR after the emergence of devices such as Meta Quest 3 and Apple Vision Pro", to which co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot gave the following answer:

We were a little disappointed with Assassin's Creed's performance in VR. While it's doing well and is still selling, we don't think it's actually going to be a hit, and it's not going to sell as well as expected, so we're not going to invest in VR for now.

We've been very impressed with Apple's new product, which is really good hardware, and we'll continue to keep an eye on the VR business, but we're not going to invest too much in it until we're sure it will deliver 'enough benefits.'"

However, Ubisoft did not disclose the sales data of "Assassin's Creed: Nexus", and IT House believes that the reason for the low sales of this game is likely to be because the game is only available on the Meta Quest platform, and not on VR platforms such as SteamVR.
