Xi'an Xiguang Middle School was founded in 1961, formerly known as Xi'an North Optoelectronics Children's Middle School, which is a complete middle school. In February 2007, it was transferred to Xi'an Xincheng District**, and in August 2009, it was merged with Xi'an No. 28 Middle School to realize the operation of junior and senior high school campuses. Xiguang Middle School has been established for more than 60 years and is unique among many well-known middle schools in the eastern suburbs. Xi'an Xiguang Middle School Education Group was established in March 2020. In April of the same year, through the school-running model of "one long and multiple schools", Xi'an Huiwen Middle School became the Huiwen Campus of Xiguang Middle School Education Group; In January 2021, Xi'an No. 72 Middle School became a branch of Xiguang Middle School through "one long and multiple schools".
