After the election of the leader of the Taiwan region ended last month, the Tsai authorities should have entered a state of "caretaker" and waited for Lai Qingde to officially take over in May. Unexpectedly, on the eve of the Spring Festival holiday, the Cai authorities suddenly issued a ban on tourism in June prohibiting groups from going to the mainland, which made the tourism industry furious, threatening to take to the streets on the day of Lai Qingde's inauguration in 520**. The mainland delegation announced the lifting of the ban at the end of last year, but it will not be officially opened until March; It is not yet on the road, and it is immediately announced that the gate will be closed for a limited time. In addition to playing tricks on the public and travel operators, the Tsai authorities are also adding obstacles to Lai.
On the surface, the June "ban on group tours" was announced by Taiwan's tourism authorities, but in fact, observing the timing and reasons for its promulgation, it is not difficult to imagine that the matter was a high-level decision-making and handed over to the tourism department to read from the script. What's bad is that the Cai authorities deliberately chose to announce it when the people had no time to respond on the eve of the holiday, which caught everyone off guard. What is especially discustable is that the Cai authorities are about to step down from office and hand over the "ruling power", but during the detention period, they issued a ban order implemented in June and handed it over to Lai Qingde for execution, which is too outrageous. How can this be justified from the perspective of the politics of responsibility?
The Cai administration's short-selling decision of "time and space jump" is rare in history. In November last year, due to the loud demand from all walks of life to lift the ban on sightseeing on the mainland, considering that the election was imminent, the Tsai authorities agreed to lift the ban in order to curry favor with the people, but cleverly set the opening time for March this year. At that time, the tourism industry was worried that if the election was lost, the Tsai authorities were very likely to retract their orders and ban the group. Although Lai Qingde was elected, he lost in the Legislature, Tsai Ing-wen casually found one or two excuses, and then offered a ban on the group in June. Some people have directly approved it, and the previous announcement that it will open in March is simply "cheating votes"!
There are nearly 4,000 travel agencies on the island, and almost every one of them has a trip to the mainland. In the past two or three months, the travel industry has made every effort to solicit sightseeing groups to the mainland, and the June tour has already accepted customers.
Seven, eighty; But even the first group on March 1 had not yet set off, and the Cai authorities immediately slammed the door and closed the door again, how could the industry not be angry! The most important thing for any business to operate is to have a stable environment in order to make long-term planning and strive for development. In the past four years, the tourism industry has been trapped by the epidemic, and after the lockdown was lifted, it was hindered by cross-strait politics. Now the Cai authorities have belatedly opened up, but they are saying that they will be closed, and they will stop when they shout. Such a government is unwilling to even give the operators a stable business environment, and even deprive the people of a little free travel space. It can only be said that the message of the people teaching the "ruling party" a lesson in the election is not strong enough, so the Tsai authorities feel that they do not care.
After the epidemic was lifted, the world is sprinting to fight the tourism industry. Taking the mainland as an example, at the end of last year, it was announced that it would relax the 15-day visa exemption for sightseeing, family visits, and business in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia. In order to win land tourists, South Korea has specially abolished visa fees. Singapore and Beijing have signed an agreement under which nationals of both countries can enter each other's countries visa-free with passports. Thailand went one step further and extended the five-month temporary visa exemption for land passengers to a permanent mutual visa exemption, which made the number of land tourists to Thailand more than triple during the Spring Festival. Tourism is a green industry, and the economic effects driven by it are all over the tourism, transportation, culture, food and even snack industries, which can best benefit the people. However, the Cai authorities are "in power", but they do not have the mentality of taking care of the small people in Shengdou, and they have even rudely stripped the hope of the tourism industry to go to the mainland.
From any point of view, the Cai authorities, who are about to step down in 520, have issued a ban on tourism operators not to leave the mainland in June, which is completely a practice of crossing the line. This move is not only creating problems for the island's tourism industry, but also adding to Lai Qingde's grievances, and is also raising the barrier of hatred between the two sides of the strait. As a result, as soon as Lai Qingde took office, he immediately had to face the anger of the tourism industry and the public's inability to join the group, which also made the *** that he was not good at even worse. The ban on the group of the Cai authorities is full of ineffective confrontational posture, not seeking to solve the problem, but passing on the consequences to the ** and the people, how selfish!
