When we see some people denying reform and opening up, praising collective production and life, and claiming its advantages such as "no corruption, clean and upright social style", "common prosperity, equality for all", we can't help but ask: Do you still have a conscience? As a real post-60s generation, I grew up in the era of lack of food and clothing, and I may have more say on this topic. There is no doubt that if it were not for reform and opening up, and there would be no land for households, it would be a big problem for those who are shouting empty to be absent. Perhaps their parents had starved to death. However, we cannot completely negate the great achievements of reform and opening up just because of a few regrets. In this article, I will use my own experience and interpretation of objective facts to refute the views that deny reform and opening up, and summarize my personal thoughts and opinions.
In the summer of 1971, I witnessed a story about the issue of allocating eight ordinary rice bowls, in a particular time when human youth and rights were insignificant. In contrast, life is so rich and free now. Reform and opening up have brought us a rich material and spiritual life and emancipated our thoughts and actions. We no longer have to endure starvation and cold in large groups, and with freedom of speech and freedom of movement, we can live as we please, as long as we don't break the law, and do whatever we like. In contrast, in the era of large collectives, we dare not talk nonsense, and we do not have the freedom to go as much as we want.
However, we do not deny the problems and difficulties in reality, but we believe that our party is fully capable of properly handling them. Looking back on the miserable years of the past, I never want to go back to the big collective life of starvation and cold. For those who are still slogans and empty slogans, I challenge them: to organize, to re-establish a commune, to go back to the old life. If they succeed, then society will follow suit, and they will go down in history as veritable heroes. But in fact, they will not be able to accept this challenge, because they are already immersed in the benefits of the actual reform and opening up, and cannot go back to the past.
Some people always refer to the success of Nanjie Village and think that collective production is good. However, we need to think rationally, did the success of Nanjie Village precede the reform and opening up? In the whole of China, there is only Dazhai and not such a large collective production as Nanjie Village. No matter how much achievements and reputation Nanjie Village has achieved, it can only exist under the halo of reform and opening up. This shows that an era has its own problems and missions, and we cannot just stare at the glory of the past and ignore the problems and difficulties existing in reality. Although our society is facing challenges, we must not let the emergence of these problems negate the great achievements of reform and opening up.
The existence of corruption is undeniable, and the privileges within the commune's grain stations, food stations, supply and marketing cooperatives, and other departments are also real. At that time, the director of the grain station was even arrogant and arrogant, and spoke ill of the people who paid for the grain, because his brother was the head of the armed forces in the district and went unpunished. These phenomena show that corruption did not exist only during the period of reform and opening up, and it is far from reaching the scale of today's society. Therefore, those who are full of criticism of reform and opening up should look at the past era of collective production and not arbitrarily evaluate reform and opening up.
The statement that *** let the Chinese people stand up, and the **** reform and opening up made the Chinese people rich, has caused controversy. Some people think that such a statement has ulterior motives, trying to negate the historical merits of *** and exaggerate the historical contributions of ***. However, as an ordinary person, I have not studied Marxist-Leninist theory, and I only know whether my life is good or bad.
To be honest, the days when we Chinese people did not lack food and clothing only began after 1980. After the reform and opening up, we have relied on our own labor to live a good life, and we no longer have to worry about food and clothing. We have freedom of speech and freedom of movement, and we can live our lives as we wish. We must not forget the sufferings of the past, but we value the happy life of the present even more.
Reform and opening up has brought us a happy life today, although we are still facing various social problems and difficulties, but we believe that the party and the party can properly deal with these problems. It is unacceptable for us to return to the great era of collective production and life of the past. While we enjoy the benefits brought about by reform and opening up, we can have room to criticize and improve reality, but we cannot completely negate the great achievements made in the past few decades.
As ordinary people, we cannot detach ourselves from reality and only shout slogans without doing practical things. We should cherish today's life, actively seek solutions to problems, and promote social development and progress. Of course, we also need to maintain a critical eye, pay attention to social inequalities and problems, and make our own contribution to building a better society.
In today's social era, we should think about whether our words and deeds are in line with objective facts and whether we can contribute to social progress. We should respect objective facts, not express opinions at will, but judge and express our opinions based on the actual situation. Only in this way can we truly understand and improve our society and bring about a better future for our country and people.
