Hastelloy C-22, also known as Nicrofer 5621, Superimphy C22, and Inconel 622, is a well-known material. w. nr 2.The designations 4602, UNS N06022, and AWS 053 further highlight its unique position in the materials community.

The alloy is impressively more resistant to corrosion than Hasteloy C-4, C-276 and Inconel 625. It retains excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in a variety of harsh environments, making it ideal for engineering applications.

In the field of chemical engineering, HASTELLOYC-22 has a wide range of applications. Its metallographic structure is a face-centered cubic lattice constant, allowing it to cope with a variety of complex chemical environments. Its high molybdenum-chromium composition gives the alloy its resistance to chloride corrosion, while the addition of tungsten further enhances its corrosion resistance. In wet and cold saturated solutions of hydrogen, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide, Hastelloyc-22 exhibits amazing corrosion resistance, making it the only known material that can resist the corrosion of these substances.
