Located at No. 2 Daxue Road, Zhangqiu District, Jinan City (the former Mingshui Campus of Shandong University of Finance and Economics), Aerospace Information University (in preparation) is the first institution of higher learning named after "Aerospace Information" in China, and has been attracting much attention. At present, the campus renovation is progressing in an orderly manner. How is the project progressing? On January 6, the reporter made a field visit. 
Walking into the campus, you will be greeted by a large open space, and the exposed loess in the open space is all tightly covered by green dust nets. To the east, a number of large excavators roared and swung their arms, transport vehicles shuttled back and forth, and the construction workers were busy laying out the line and leveling the land, a construction scene in full swing.
Coming to the west of the campus, the buildings marked with the words "Teaching Building" and other words are particularly dazzling under the warm winter sun. The reporter learned that the Aerospace Information University (in preparation) covers an area of 5127 hectares. Currently, the project has 14 existing buildings30,000 square meters, including teaching buildings, student dormitories, etc. These existing buildings have been renovated and upgraded. Further southwest, excavators and bulldozers are leveling the land, a busy scene.
It is reported that the renovation of the construction project of the Aerospace Information University (in preparation) has been basically completed. At present, it has entered the stage of large-scale new construction. According to public information, the project will build a new information building, a science lecture hall and a liberal arts college building, an engineering training center and an electronic information school and other facilities, which can be described as a huge project.
In December 2023, Aerospace Information University (in preparation) announced the recruitment of outstanding talents at home and abroad. It is mentioned that the university focuses on the field of aerospace information, focuses on the development of graduate education, moderately develops the education of undergraduates and international students, and plans to enroll 10,000 students, including 5,000 undergraduates, 3,000 master's students, and 2,000 doctoral students. The university covers the whole field of aerospace information technology and the whole industrial chain, and is expected to recruit undergraduate students in 2025.
