On the morning of February 7, a resident of Luozigou Town, Wangqing County, Jilin Province, was driving when he suddenly encountered a wild Siberian tiger crossing the road and almost collided with the vehicle.
The dash cam was taken at 9 a.m. on February 7 in Wangqing County, Jilin Province, within the scope of the Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park. At that time, the resident was driving on the Wangluo Line Highway when suddenly a large wild Siberian tiger crossed the road from the mountain forest on the right side of the car and quickly ran into the mountain forest on the left. Due to the suddenness of the incident, the vehicle almost collided with the tiger, but fortunately, the speed was not fast and the car was able to brake in time. After learning of the relevant situation, the Jilin Tianqiaoling Forest Public Security and Forestry Department quickly activated the police-enterprise linkage mechanism to patrol and monitor to prevent human-tiger conflicts and ensure the safety of human-tigers.
With the continuous promotion of the construction of the Siberian Tiger and Leopard National Park, the current population of wild Siberian tigers and Amur leopards in China has increased from 27 and 42 in 2015 to more than 50 and 60 respectively.
