Oily meat, three threads, pickled fresh, spring rolls, fried fish, chicken, duck, eight-treasure rice, ......

On the day of the Chinese New Year's Eve, about 20 people gathered at Old Man Xu's house for a reunion dinner at Xu Shengfu's family in the Baiyiqiao residential area of Pengpu Town, and his wife Qin Fengying's sister's family.

82-year-old Xu Shengfu is a native of Baiyiqiao, and his wife Qin Fengying, 81, married from Tangnan Village to Baiyiqiao Village in 1967. In 1999, their old house moved to Yongling Community. As a commemoration, they kept the house number before the move, as well as many old furniture, kitchen utensils, sewing machines and other old objects.

Grandma Qin told reporters with emotion: "Life is much better now. ”

Grandpa Xu has two sons, and Grandpa Xu is in charge of the Chinese New Year's Eve dinner in previous years. This year, the son and daughter-in-law are in charge. Grandpa Xu said that when he was old, the baton of making the Chinese New Year's Eve dinner was handed over to his son and daughter-in-law.

Grandpa Xu told reporters that since his son was one year old, he began to cook Chinese New Year's Eve by himself. Buckle three silks, oily meat and spring rolls are Grandpa Xu's specialty dishes, and he makes a lot of them every year.

Speaking of the practice of buttoning the three wires, Grandpa Xu said: "After the winter bamboo shoots are boiled in water until they are medium-cooked, they are taken out and cut into shreds. Then shred the fresh pork and ham respectively. Take a bowl and spread shredded pork, ham and bamboo shoots on the bottom of the bowl. Put a shiitake mushroom in the middle of these ingredients that looks like a hat. After the small bowl is steamed, the vegetables in this small bowl are turned upside down on the plate, and the fresh juice is poured at the end, which is beautiful. ”

This craft of cooking was taught by Grandpa Xu when he was young. Grandpa Xu recalled: "When I was young, I started farming and raising pigs, and then I went to work as a cook in a warehouse canteen. ”

Grandma Qin's sister also lives in the Baiyiqiao community, and on the thirtieth day of the Chinese New Year's Eve, her sister's family came to Grandma Qin's house to have a Chinese New Year's Eve dinner together. Their family has preserved many Chinese New Year traditions. For example, from the 23rd day of the lunar month to the 30th day of the Chinese New Year's Eve, grocery shopping, ancestor worship, stove worship, cleaning, and rice balls are wrapped every year.

Every year, Grandpa Xu and Grandma Qin spend the New Year with their families. Today, their family is a big family of four generations, and their grandchildren and granddaughters have also started their own families and have children. This New Year, they will eat melon seeds together, watch TV, and spend the Spring Festival together. The old couple said: "It's the New Year, I am happy, and I hope that the whole family will be healthy all year round and the whole family will be harmonious." ”
