In 1981, to commemorate the founding of the Revolutionary Army of the Republic of Cuba, Havana, the capital of Cuba, held a demonstration of military equipment.

In January 1959, the revolutionary rebel army led by Castro rebelled in an armed uprising, overthrew the ** regime and established the Republic of Cuba. The Cuban army is led by the Communist Party of Cuba, with Fidel Castro, First Secretary of the Communist Committee of Cuba and President of the Council of State and President of the Council of Ministers, as Commander-in-Chief of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.

The Soviet-made 62 medium combat vehicle was displayed at the Military Equipment Exhibition, along with the BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle, the 2S3 152mm self-propelled howitzer, the 122mm D-30 towed howitzer and the 73mm SPG-9 recoilless gun.

The current Cuban army is no longer worth mentioning. But the Cuban army back then was very good. A country of more than 10 million people once had more than 200,000 troops and 1 million reserve troops. Following in the footsteps of the Soviet Union, it was deeply involved in conflicts across Africa, and Cuban troops could be seen in Angola, Ethiopia, Somalia and other places.
