The total length of the No. 1 tunnel in Xiabuxi is 1,735 meters, the import belongs to Panzhou City, and the exit belongs to Xingyi City. The geological structure of the tunnel is complex, the karst in the tunnel area is strongly developed, the safety factor is high, and the construction is difficult.

In order to speed up the tunnel construction, the Panxing Railway Project Department of China Railway Third Bureau strictly implements the leadership and shift operation system, strengthens the control of important processes such as arch installation, initial support spraying, lining, concrete pouring, etc., and puts in special equipment such as two excavation trolleys and four lining trolleys under the condition of ensuring safety, and more than 300 construction personnel carry out a 24-hour three-shift operation system, which strongly ensures the smooth penetration of the tunnel. The Panxing Railway starts from Panzhou Station of Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway in the north and ends at Xingyi South Station, with a total length of about 98 kilometers and a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. After completion and opening to traffic, the time from Panzhou to Xingyi will be shortened from the original 70 minutes to less than 30 minutes. Guiyang to the central cities of 8 cities (prefectures) in the province can be formed in 1 to 2 hours of high-speed rail traffic circle.
