Reading cured my mental internal friction After reading "Cognitive Awakening", I suddenly realized that I deeply understood many truths that were previously vague. This book has been praised by major anchors and continues to be on the recommended list, making it undoubtedly a masterpiece worth reading.
The author's insight is breathtaking, as if he can penetrate into our hearts and understand our laziness and weakness. He has a unique insight into why we feel lost, and the answer lies in the lack of clarity about our goals.
Our brain is made up of three parts: the rational brain, the emotional brain, and the instinctive brain. Among them, the development of the rational brain is the lagging behind, compared with the age of humans, the instinctive brain is 100 years old, the emotional brain is 55 years older, and the age of the rational brain is less than a year old.
This explains why we often lose control, irrationality, and emotion in our lives, because our rational brains are not yet fully developed.
The book Cognitive Awakening not only made me realize my shortcomings, but also provided me with ways to improve. It made me understand that to overcome my weaknesses, I first need to have a clear goal, and then improve my cognitive abilities through continuous learning and exercise.
Only in this way can we truly take control of our lives and become a better version of ourselves.
