Arctic Village is located in Mohe City, Daxinganling District, Heilongjiang Province, the northernmost city in China. Although it is located in a remote area, relying on the unique ice and snow resources, winter has become the peak tourist season for Arctic Village, and it is also the peak season for electricity consumption.
In order to ensure the safety of electricity use, every winter, the staff of the Arctic Power Supply Station of Mohe Power Supply Company, China's northernmost power supply station in the Arctic Village, will climb mountains and step on the snow, and regularly go to the field to inspect more than 20 kilometers of overhead lines and more than 70 kilometers of buried cable lines.
For power workers, the more festive it is, the more "nerves are tense". Today, they have to carry out special inspections of more than 20 kilometers of power distribution lines, starting at 6 o'clock in the morning and going until 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
In addition to field inspections, power workers must carefully inspect the electrical equipment of heating enterprises and the electric switches in each villager's house. Thanks to their efforts, Arctic Village has not had a power outage due to equipment failure for a long time, which is the greatest honor for the power workers.
