2024 Chinese New Year outlook
I'm getting more and more into minimalism.
Chinese New Year is the best time to break away, because it is easy to find non-essential items hidden in the corners when the whole house is cleaned.
However, compared to previous years, I didn't find a lot of things that could still be found in this cleaning.
The reason for this is the effect of minimalism. Over the past year, I have rarely bought unnecessary items, and my materialistic desires have become less and less.
Almost every week, I do a simple tidying up of my room and find something that can still be left (or salted fish). The room is in a state of "metabolism" all the time.
This relieves a lot of burden for the pre-Chinese New Year.
If you don't believe in minimalism yet, I advise you to give it a try. Really, it's really nice to throw away things that seem useful but don't actually need them.
My biggest expense this year is buying books (there are only about 20 books). Since there weren't many things that could be left anywhere else, I aimed at the bookshelves (which were actually quite small).
A ruthless operation, even processed more than a dozen copies. This mainly includes the books I used when I took the exam.
Why did I keep it, because it recorded my sweat. I didn't throw them all away this time, leaving two copies for memory.
Next year, I will buy fewer books, mainly to borrow books, and there is a Yue study room downstairs, which is very convenient.
In fact, there are still a lot of items at home, and the big head is two children.
The eldest daughter loves handbooks, and every time she plays, she can fill a table. I taught her how to tidy up, and after playing, she still has what she can.
Her grandfather also came to help, telling her that the paper she threw away could be sold for money. Every time she sells scrap, she counts her a little more, and she's happy.
Of course, minimalism is not chaos, it is not waste. Minimalism is about reducing materialism. If you can sell the items that you don't need on salted fish, you will make the most of them.
Everyone loves a refreshing home. The basis of refreshment is to reduce the build-up of items.
When there are very few items in the house, the person's mental state is the best, the mind is clear, and the life is orderly.
A good life, starting with minimalism, celebrate the New Year, let's break away together.
