In the past two days, snowfall has occurred in Beijing, Hebei, Shandong and other places, and the power department has launched an emergency plan, intensified inspections, organized emergency repair teams, and made every effort to ensure power supply.

In response to the current round of snowfall, the Beijing electric power department launched an emergency warning response, and deployed more than 8,000 power support personnel to measure and inspect the temperature of key substation rooms and transmission lines. As of 9 o'clock on February 21, the overall operation of Beijing's power grid is safe and stable, and the power is sufficient.

According to Chen Haiyang, deputy director of the marketing department of the State Grid Beijing Electric Power Company, during the snowfall, the focus was on strengthening the electricity safety of six types of heating customers, such as boiler rooms and other central heating customers, hospitals, nursing homes, and "coal-to-electricity" users, and arranged 2,000 account managers to take the initiative to carry out extended services and respond to customer electricity needs 24 hours a day.

In Shexian County, Handan City, Hebei Province, there has been widespread snowfall and cooling weather since February 20, causing snow accumulation in some transmission line towers. The local power department arranged 12 emergency repair teams with more than 140 people to use the "** monitoring + drone" method to carry out special inspections and carry out snow removal work on important transmission corridors and stations.

Affected by the cold air, many places in Shandong ushered in rain, snow and freezing weather. In order to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid, the power departments of Dongying, Tai'an and other places in Shandong immediately carried out line inspection and de-icing. In Zibo, during the Spring Festival transportation period, the local power department strengthened the monitoring and early warning of the railway power supply lines, and promptly eliminated potential safety hazards such as line icing, loose bolts, and abnormal joint temperatures, so as to ensure the stable operation of the Spring Festival railway. Xintai Electric Power Department inspected distribution lines and coal-to-electricity conversion areas overnight to strengthen the power supply guarantee for infrastructure such as transportation and communications, as well as water supply, gas supply, heating and other livelihood customers.
