It s fun to see a concrete LEGO minifigure in Aberdeen, Scotland

Inspired by Lego bricks, a local artist named Sketchmaker showcased his collection of concrete figures online. The models tell the story of Aberdeen's diverse areas from the airport to the docks through a variety of characters, from magicians in magic hats to train drivers.

As the "sketchmaker" shared in a social post, these works are heavily influenced by the characteristics of their region. For example, a model pilot is placed near the airport, and there is a train driver next to the train station, making it easy for passers-by to spot these interesting little pieces.

These minifigures are not only works of art, but also a medium for telling the history of Aberdeen. From Shell workers representing the city's ties to the oil industry, to surfers who embody the city's shores, each minifigure has its own unique backstory.

The artist shared these works with the public for free, apparently out of a pure love for the sharing of art. "It's fun to make these pieces in and of it, and it's fun to share them with everyone. He said this in an interview with the BBC Scotland Channel.

Looking to the future, he hopes to bring this project to more cities. "I have a few other projects in the works, but I do hope to do something similar in other cities in the future. I have a lot of ideas in my head that I want to achieve. He wrote on his blog.
