During the Spring Festival, in the square in front of Chongqing North Railway Station, the entrance to the station, the waiting hall, the platform and other areas, two furry figures are particularly eye-catching, it is the Chongqing Railway Public Security Department police dogs "Lightning" and "Kate" who carry out patrol and explosive search tasks. This is the fourth Spring Festival of their cooperation.

Born in 2018, Lightning" and Kate are both experienced explosive search dogs. "Lightning" is a Malinoa dog with a single-minded and obedient personality who has been carrying out railway explosion-proof investigation work for four years. Kate is a Springer Spaniel, gentle and lively, who has been working for more than five years. As frequent partners, they are familiar with each other, cooperate tacitly, and often participate in large-scale security missions together.
In addition to the regular security check at the railway station, the explosive search dog has taken on the important task of "secondary security check". "'Lightning', sniff! With the order of the trainer Chen Cheng, the "lightning" immediately took action, turning into a "mobile security inspection machine", repeatedly sniffing an area, and only leaving after confirming the safety. Kate and trainer Zeng Yong followed suit and started a new round of inspections here.
Zeng Yong introduced that this kind of inspection method is called initial inspection and re-inspection, which can effectively increase the accuracy and safety of the investigation, and leave no blind spots.

The train station is densely populated, the smell is mixed, and there are a variety of distractions. Everywhere they go, "Lightning" and "Kate" will rely on their sensitive sense of smell to carefully distinguish the smell of dangerous ** objects in a complex environment, and if they encounter suspicious objects, they will immediately lie down to warn without making any sound.
The formation of such a conditioned reflex requires years of training and actual combat. After a year of training after birth, "Lightning" and "Kate" grew into qualified police dogs. In order to keep them highly sensitive and vigilant, in the following years, the trainers will regularly carry out odor identification training, anti-interference training, etc., and constantly strengthen their practical application skills.
All training is carried out on a regular basis, and there are no different responses depending on the size of the task. Chen Cheng explained with a smile that police dogs are very smart, and if they deliberately bathe, eat, and train before some tasks, they will realize that there are differences between tasks, and they may form different working states. This is also a small skill summed up by the handler in the day and night with the police dog.
Thanks to solid daily training and actual combat drills, both "Lightning" and "Kate" have successfully completed more than 100 important tasks, including security tasks during the Spring Festival, Summer Games, and National Day holidays.
When the police dog goes out on a mission, we will also worry, after all, it is to check for dangerous ** objects, but fortunately, they all returned safely. In the eyes of Chen Cheng and other trainers, police dogs are not only a "sharp weapon" to maintain social security, but also a "silent comrade-in-arms" who fights side by side.

During the conversation, a train stopped at the platform, and "Lightning" and "Kate" seized the time to patrol and inspect, which made many passengers cast curious and excited eyes. "Mom, there's a dog here! "This is a police dog and our hero. Before stepping onto the train, a mother explained to her daughter. (ENDS).
