On the road of life, sometimes you will encounter some unexpected opportunities that make you feel that you are the luckiest person. However, have you ever thought that these opportunities may be a reminder from God, suggesting that your blessings are about to run out, and you need to be vigilant and cherished. The Tao Te Ching says: "Blessings and misfortunes lurk, and misfortunes and blessings rely on." "The blessings and misfortunes of life are mutually transformative, don't be deceived by appearances, and see the essence clearly in order to grasp your own destiny.
When God wants to take away a person's blessing, he will give a reminder to let you take advantage of it, using Liu Bei in "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" as an example. Liu Bei struggled all his life, experienced the difficulties of defeating Maicheng eighteen times, and finally became the founding emperor of Shu Han with the assistance of Zhuge Liang and realized his hegemony. However, his blessing did not last long, and just when he was at his proudest, God gave him a fatal blow. Liu Bei attacked Eastern Wu and wanted to avenge the killing of his brother, but he was attacked by Lu Xun and suffered heavy losses, so he had to retreat. On the way to retreat, his beloved concubine Sun Shangxiang committed suicide in order not to drag him down. Liu Bei was grief-stricken, and after returning to the White Emperor City, he died soon after his injuries worsened. The glory of Liu Bei's life came to naught at this moment, and his blessing dissipated.
Look at Jiafu in "Dream of Red Mansions", which is also a typical example. Jiafu is a family of the imperial court, with countless wealth and status, and is the envy of everyone. However, their blessings are also limited, and while they are enjoying the glory and wealth, God also gives them some ominous signs. For example, at Jia's mother's birthday banquet, someone sent a couplet, the upper one is "Shoubi Nanshan Immortal Pine", the lower one is "Fu is like the long flowing water of the East China Sea", and the horizontal batch is "Fu Shou Shuangquan". This may seem like an auspicious couplet, but if you analyze it carefully, you will find the mystery in it. Nanshan Ageless Pine refers to the evergreen pine tree, which means longevity, however, the pine tree will also wither one day, and immortality is only relative. The long flowing water of the East China Sea refers to the abundant water source, which means wealth, but the water will also dry up one day, and the long flow is only temporary. Fushou Shuangquan refers to having blessings and longevity, but Shuangquan also has a priority, first there are blessings, and then there is life, that is, when the blessings are used up, the lifespan will come to an end. This couplet, in fact, hints at the decline of Jiafu, is a warning given to them by God, but unfortunately they did not notice it, and finally went to perdition.
The blessings of life are finite and not eternal. When we encounter some good luck, don't get carried away, be vigilant and cherish, don't covet temporary enjoyment and ignore long-term benefits. When we encounter some bad luck, don't be discouraged, be strong and optimistic, and don't give up the direction of our efforts because of temporary difficulties. The blessings and misfortunes of life are mutually transformed, and only by adjusting one's mentality can we cope with various changes and have real blessings. Su Dongpo once said: "Life is like everywhere, it should be like Feihong stepping on the slush." Occasionally, there are fingers and claws on the mud, and Hongfei counts things. "Life is like Feihong stepping on the slush, the traces left are just accidental, don't care too much, don't care too much, as long as you fly high and fly free, it is the greatest blessing.
