Where a unit rents housing for its employees to live in, the unit shall establish a corresponding management system and perform safety management responsibilities. The second paragraph of Article 23 of the Beijing Municipal Regulations on Housing Leasing stipulates that if a unit rents housing for its employees to live in, the unit shall establish a corresponding management system and perform safety management responsibilities. The second paragraph of Article 64 stipulates: Where the provisions of the second paragraph of Article 23 of these Regulations are violated by a unit renting housing for the employees of the unit to live in and failing to perform its safety management responsibilities, the public security organ shall order it to make corrections within a set period of time and may impose a fine of between 10,000 and 100,000 RMB; where serious consequences are caused, a fine of between 100,000 and 500,000 RMB is to be given.
