Recently, I have collected and sorted out some problems encountered by friends in the process of turning on the offline search function of the earphone, I hope it can help you!
Problem 1: When you enable offline finding, you need to enter the lock screen password of the xx device.
Reason:If you have bound multiple devices to the same HUAWEI ID, you may need to enter the lock screen password of the bound device to confirm that it is your own device, and you may need to enter the lock screen password of the bound device.
Workaround:Phone Settings > HUAWEI ID > Account Security > Log in to Device Management, find the device, touch Remove from Account, and then enable Find Me again.
Problem 2: The "Find Me" function is grayed out and cannot be clicked, and the current earphone has not completed the preparation for enabling the "Find Me" function.
Reason:The earbuds version has been upgraded, but the charging case has not been silently upgraded, and the charging case is inconsistent with the version of the earbuds
Workaround:Put the earbuds in the charging case, keep them near your phone for half an hour, and then enable offline finding. If the problem is still not solved, restore the earbuds to factory settings (press and hold the function button for 10s until the red light flashes) after restoring the earbuds to factory settings (open the lid of the dual earbuds) and then enable the function.
Problem 3: The "Find" function is grayed out and cannot be clicked, and the current HMS version does not support enabling the "Find" function
Reason:The HMS Core version or HMS Core component version is outdated
Workaround:Search for "HMS Core" in the App Market, click Update, click Open after the update is complete, then click Find Device, wait for the components of HMS Core to be updated, and then enable offline search.
Problem 4: After enabling the offline find function, the headset name does not appear in the device list of the Find Device app
Workaround:
1) Open Settings > Apps & Services > App Management > HMS Core > Permissions > Location Info and confirm that the Location Permissions are set to Always Allow.
2) Restore the earphones to factory settings, put the earphones into the box and open the cover, press and hold the function button for more than 10 seconds until the indicator flashes red. Once the earbuds are re-paired and connected, enable the Find My feature.
3) After enabling the offline search function, jump to the Find Device app, the network delay will cause the map to fail to load or the headset name will not be displayed in the device list, wait for 1 minute, and then click the refresh button in the upper right corner.
Problem 5: Click to enable the find function, but the next step is unresponsive
Reason:The device version or region is not supported, and the offline search function needs to be paired with the Chinese mainland version of harmonyOS 2Some Huawei phones of 0 and above versions are required in the tabletChinese mainlandUse.
