New Year's Memories When I was a child, before the Chinese New Year, every family was busy making rice crackers. The rice should be soaked in water for a night, and then taken to a small house (for public use), one person (often a man) tramples up and down, and the other person (often a woman) keeps turning over the rice, and two people do the same action over and over again until the rice turns into powder, and then take it outside to dry, and then make rice crackers.
When making rice crackers, the neighbors would help each other, and after making one house, they would go to the other, and we children would also participate. Mix the rice noodles with brown sugar, sautéed peanuts, sesame seeds, and a small amount of water. When we just beat the cake, our children were okay, but then we were impatient, so we picked peanuts to eat, beat a few, and ran outside to play and ask for it, over and over again. Some of the adults beat the cakes, and some bake the cakes in a large iron pot. When the rice crackers are cooked, they are put on the other side to dry, and when they are cold, they are put in the chengzi. Some of the rice crackers were given to relatives, the other was kept, and the adults occasionally ate one or two, and the rest were the main snacks for children, and the rice crackers were left for a long time without changing.
Quality. On the day of the Chinese New Year's Eve, about three or four o'clock in the afternoon, the mothers were busy boiling water and helping the children to take a shower in front of the door, when there was still the sun and it was still warm. Dressing the child in new clothes is exactly what is said: New Year's Day, wear new clothes. The adults are busy cooking, and the children are busy playing, just waiting for the reunion dinner.
