Qigong is one of the essences of traditional Chinese culture and a treasure of the Chinese nation, with a history of thousands of years. The term qigong has the color of Taoist cultivation technology, and from the analysis of literature, it lies in the fact that there are many schools of cultivation technology in ancient times, such as Buddhist meditation, Confucian heart fasting, medical guidance, martial arts internal strength, Taoism itself also has many schools of cultivation, and there are yoga and meditation abroad.
So what is the principle behind Qigong?
First of all, it is stated that people cannot cultivate to become immortals in the traditional sense, but it may be said that they can achieve the same mental and physical state as immortals through the practice of qigong.
The vast majority of classical qigong in China is based on the theory of meridians and viscera, so the principle of qigong involves the following questions:
What are qi and blood in modern science?
What are the meridians that are the channels for qi and blood to run?
Again, what is expounded in this article is the principle of qigong, which is a hypothesis put forward by me based on years of practice of qigong and based on various literature and modern research**, but this hypothesis has received positive feedback when it is used to guide the practice of qigong by fellow practitioners.
If you want to study the process and arguments in detail, you can check my book "Scientific Exploration of the Human Body: Nourishing Sex and Prolonging Life in Traditional Chinese Medicine Qigong".
"Qi" is an electrical signal, a nerve action potential;
"Blood" is a neurotransmitter;
Acupuncture points are the combination of nerves and muscles and other effectors, and are the source of "qi" and "blood";
The twelve meridians are muscle gaps, and they go "blood."Different acupuncture points may produce different neurotransmitters and produce different effects;
Wonder Scripture VIIIPulse orThe second pulse of Ren Du is the nervous systemWalkedIt is "gas".
To put it simply, qi is the action potential generated after the nerve potential is gathered, and after the consciousness is relaxed or after attention training, people can feel the feeling generated by the movement of the action potential along the meridians, which is what the qigong practitioners call the touch, that is, the eight touches. After cultivating, the body is light and emotional, and there is boundless happiness. In cultivation, the body and mind are completely empty, forgetting the existence of the body, like a void, and then you will feel eight touches (pain, itching, cold, warm, light, heavy, astringent, slippery, etc.). This inner bliss is wonderful, it is inward, the joy felt in every cell, in every pore, beyond any happiness and serenity in the world in nature and degree. From this point of view, practicing qigong can indeed become an immortal, but it is not an immortal immortal. How to apply the principles of qigong? The first is qigong gong, mainly to dredge the twelve meridians and let the acupuncture points on the meridians produce "blood", the meridians are muscle gaps, and the muscles will not move for a long time to produce adhesions, resulting in inaccessibility, so we should follow the meridian line, regular stretching, compression, twisting, etc. to make the meridians smooth and promote the flow of "blood". This is also why we need to reach a certain amount of time every time we practice qigong, and only when we reach a certain time can we produce more "blood" in order to reach the physical problem.
Qigong is to make our overall body healthy**, and so that we can feel the feeling of the gods need to practice Qigong Jinggong, Jinggong is mainly to make the eight veins of the Qi Jing more sensitive, that is, to make the nervous system more sensitive, especially the central nervous system. The principle behind it is nervous system moldability.
Let's take a look at how Xiao Zhoutian (Ren Du Ermai) practice:
The traditional Neidan technique is divided into three stages: refining and refining qi Xiao Zhoutian, refining qi and transforming the god of Great Zhoutian, and refining the god to return to the void. The first stage of the Neidan technique, Xiao Zhoutian, is also known as refining and refining qi, Kan Lijiao, and meridian Zhoutian. The whole process can be divided into five steps, namely, refining oneself, adjusting medicines, producing medicines, collecting medicines, and refining medicines. The brief process is:
Put on a good posture to dispel distracting thoughts, gradually calm your mind, and gradually restrain your mind, that is, refine yourself. Then a thought returns, concentrating into the air cavitation that is, the lower dantian, slowly pranayama, leading the short and long, and the day after tomorrow breathing followed the weather acupoint dantian, which is the medicine. Due to the return of the qi in the body of the god, the dissipated essence and vitality can be gradually gathered and filled, and reconcentrated in the air pockets. And when the static pole is extreme, there is a motive, in a trance, feeling the air pockets and pneumatics, this is the production of medicine. This kind of pneumatic divine knowledge is the real machine when essence begins to turn into qi, that is, it is a small medicine, that is, a yang birth. Practitioners should promptly use the four-character formula of pinching, resisting, closing, and sucking, forcing gold with fire, and leading through the tail with intention, that is, collecting medicine. Continue to cook with martial fire, rely on each other, and draw essence from the tail Lu Pass to the top, through the spine pass, the jade pillow pass, and up to the mud pill on the dantian. Then make the essence from the mud pill down, the fire warming, so that it passes through the middle Danjiang Palace, and returns to the dantian under the air pocket, this is the refining of medicine. This is a small Zhoutian process that is carried out on the Du Pulse and Ren Pulse. When the kung fu is perfect, it becomes a breath and an exhale, a cycle of supervision. The ancients believed that they could practice 100 300 breaths each time, but now it is generally mastered for about 1 hour.
What I have gained from practicing meditation is:It is necessary to enter the meditation first, not to have a thought, so that the nerve action potential of the whole body tends to be balanced, and then the intention to guard a certain place in the body, generally the lower dantian, the intention to keep is the stimulation, the action potential will be generated, to a certain extent, the specific action potential will run along the pulse (that is, the central nervous system).。Why is it the lower dantian, look at the picture below,Because the lower dantian has the most efferent nerves, it is most likely to produce nerve action potential aggregation
I have been practicing qigong for more than 10 years, and my work has given me the opportunity to analyze and explore the principles of qigong from the perspective of modern science. Put out the table of contents first for the benefit of readers.
