Under collectivism, who can supervise the hands that share the cake ?

Under the banner of collectivism, we are often instilled with the idea of "sacrificing the ego for the sake of the big picture". But when power is concentrated in the hands of a few, especially the one responsible for "sharing the cake", a sharp question arises: who will oversee this hand and ensure fairness and justice?

Collectivism is not a bad thing in itself, it emphasizes team cohesion and common goals. But the problem is that any form of concentration of power can breed corruption and injustice. When some individuals or groups in the collective have the power to allocate resources, and there is no effective external oversight, then the "hand that divides the cake" may become freewheeling, and may even keep most of the cake for itself, leaving only the leftovers for others.

Advocates of collectivism tend to avoid this issue, believing that the interests of the collective will naturally lead that hand to make the right choice. However, both history and experience have taught us that unchecked power is dangerous. Whether at the national level or at the societal level, we need a mechanism to restrain the "hand that divides the cake" and ensure that it does not harm the collective interest through selfish desires.

Therefore, true collectivism should include checks and balances on power. Only in this way can we pursue a common goal while protecting the rights and interests of each individual from being violated. This is not only a theoretical issue, but also a challenge that every collective must face and solve in practice.
