Li Xiaoping, as a woman who loves the art of calligraphy and painting, has a deep love and pursuit for the four treasures of Chinese study. Born in a scholarly family, she was exposed to excellent traditional culture since she was a child, and this influence quietly took root in her heart. In this environment, she developed a strong interest in calligraphy and continued to devote herself to it as a practice.
Li Xiaoping is a member of the Shaanxi Calligraphers Association, the Xi'an Calligraphers Association, and the Xi'an Calligraphers and Painters Association. Her talent and passion have been recognized by the society, which has also provided her with more opportunities to showcase her work.
Li Xiaoping currently serves as the vice president of the Belt and Road Culture and Art Research Institute and China 315 Secretary-General of the Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, this identity and responsibility enabled her to learn and exchange calligraphy art with academic predecessors and calligraphers more deeply, and inherit the treasures of Chinese calligraphy and painting.
She also took the opportunity of visiting North America to exchange with overseas artists and academic groups, participate in traditional Chinese culture and art exhibitions, and better spread the essence of Chinese culture.
Li Xiaoping mainly focuses on calligraphy, and also dabbles in regular script, official script, cursive script and seal script. Her works are not only dignified and neat, but also integrate her understanding of Chinese cultural connotations and unique artistic perceptions.
