In order to improve the fuel economy of the vehicle, the powertrain control system increases control through the DC engine drive. Capacitors are used to suppress the electrical noise that occurs in DC motors. The control equipment of the car is used in an excessively harsh temperature environment, and there is a possibility that the temperature will be close to 200 degrees for a short time. Capacitors used in such environments require high heat resistance.
To this end, Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has expanded its RHS series of leaded multilayer ceramic capacitors for automobiles that support high-temperature applications. In addition to the 200 VDC and 500VDC rated voltage products, the 100VDC rated voltage products and the high-capacity 175 100VDC rated voltage products will be commercialized.

The 100VDC rated voltage products that support 200 and the 100VDC rated voltage products that support 175 are now in mass production.
Murata Capacitors|Murata Capacitors|Murata automotive capacitors|The RHS series of leaded multilayer ceramic capacitors for automobiles uses a newly developed high-heat-resistant resin to coat high-heat-resistant multilayer ceramic capacitors to achieve an ultra-high operating temperature of 200 °C. Up to now, when the rated voltage is 200VDC and 500VDC, the capacity value is 001 F, a new 100VDC product has been added to support this time, and the capacity value has been increased to 01μf。In the future, Murata will focus on expanding sales of equipment installed in high-temperature environments such as engine compartments.
