* The mainland is just a dream after all, and Chiang Kai-shek recognized the reality in his later years and did not turn a blind eye.

After the defeat in the civil war, Chiang Kai-shek led the remnants of the Kuomintang to retreat to Taiwan, but Chiang Kai-shek did not give up the mainland.

However, the reality is cruel, Chiang Kai-shek's dream of "** mainland" was finally shattered, and he died because of it.

What happened at that time, and why did he die blindly?

Since the beginning of the 20 th century, the struggle between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party has become an enduring topic in our country, and the confrontation between the two sides has penetrated through many aspects, and fierce competition has broken out in the political, military, and economic fields.

The struggle between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party lasted from the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression to the founding of New China, and finally the Kuomintang army was defeated and retreated to Taiwan, and the matter finally came to an end.

However, Chiang Kai-shek did not think so, he was always unwilling to the result of the defeat of the Kuomintang, and always tried to find an opportunity to make a comeback, so in 1949 he put forward the slogan of "** mainland".

At that time, the remnants of the Kuomintang had not completely retreated back to Taiwan, and there were still some troops on standby, which gave Chiang Kai-shek room for maneuver and brought theoretical possibilities to **.

Subsequently, Chiang Kai-shek urgently convened an internal military conference in Taiwan and launched a series of speeches, hoping that his colleagues would firmly support all the decisions of the Party and carry out revolutionary practice themselves.

In this speech, Chiang Kai-shek also issued his own "victory declaration", claiming that he would defeat his political opponents within three years, and put forward the goal of "one year, three years of success".

Although Chiang Kai-shek was full of confidence in his military operations, reality quickly slapped him in the face.

Not long after the military conference was convened, the combat operations began to be carried out, and fierce fighting broke out at the front, but soon after there were reports of defeat.

Chiang Kai-shek was greatly annoyed when he learned that the military operation was convened urgently by himself, and it stands to reason that there was absolutely no possibility of leaking secrets, but the speed of the opponent's counterattack was very fast.

In order to reduce **, a disheartened Chiang Kai-shek was forced to order the remnants of his troops to withdraw from the mainland and establish a "capital" in Taipei.

Although the ** troops were beaten like lost dogs, Chiang Kai-shek did not have any territory on the mainland, and the territory of more than 1 million square kilometers in the southwest border at that time was still under the control of **.

But with the capture of Song Xilian and the liberation of Xichang, Chiang Kai-shek's last base on the mainland was also declared bankrupt. This news made him angry, which meant that his slogan of "one year **, three years of success" had become completely empty talk.

However, he did not give up on his dream, and decided to wait until the right time to take action.

The following year, Chiang Kai-shek published a summary of experience in his research institute, and made a profound review of the failure, he believed that the important towns in the southwest border at that time were under the control of the first, and if the implementation was carried out step by step, the goal could be achieved.

However, the situation changed too quickly, so fast that it was too late to react, and in less than four months, these areas were liberated one after another, and they were caught off guard.

This failure made Chiang Kai-shek decide to settle down, he thought that he could only make a lot of mistakes, not lightly, otherwise he would also end up in failure.

Chiang Kai-shek also took the example of Goujian, the king of Yue, to redraw the battle plan, and proposed to rectify it first, and then carry out the first move, and the last move was successful.

The following month after Chiang Kai-shek put forward his plan, the People's Liberation Army landed on Hainan Island, and Hainan was declared liberated. Soon after, the Zhoushan Islands were also liberated.

Not only that, China has also built dozens of military airfields in various important towns in South China, and has sent a large number of planes to station them there, and the spearhead is directly aimed at Chiang Kai-shek.

Faced with such a passive situation, Chiang Kai-shek still did not intend to be captured, and in his report portrayed his defeat as a strategic retreat to embolden his troops.

He mentioned that he had made a strategic plan for the overall situation, and that the evacuation from Hainan Island half a month ago was part of the plan, and that the entire chain was being carried out in an orderly manner, and he hoped that all armies would be prepared.

When it comes to his army, Chiang Kai-shek is particularly confident, saying that he is now accumulating strength in order to deliver a powerful blow in the future, when he will ensure that the enemy will be annihilated in one fell swoop.

So, did his so-called "plan" finally come into effect?

After Chiang Kai-shek retreated to Taiwan, he tried to wait for the opportunity to ** the mainland, but he failed one after another.

In order to avoid following in the footsteps of the first failure, Chiang Kai-shek deliberately postponed his plan for two years and adjusted and improved it in every aspect.

So will his plan be implemented smoothly this time, and how will our army respond to it?

When Chiang Kai-shek made the decision, our army was not idle, and he was keenly aware that after the defeat, he would not give up and would definitely regroup and pose a threat to the mainland again.

Therefore, he personally called the leaders of the military region and others, asking them to study the potential risks in the Taiwan Strait area, so as to make arrangements in advance.

Subsequently, our army urgently strengthened its forces in the southeastern coastal areas, and carried out 24-hour close monitoring of key islands.

* I was quite surprised to see this, and I didn't expect that my plan had not yet been implemented, so it was predicted in advance, and its morale was severely damaged, and all military operations against the mainland were suspended.

However, soon after the outbreak of the Korean War, our country was forced to take a military action to resist US aggression and aid Korea in order to defend the frontier.

Chiang Kai-shek finally found the opportunity and decided to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to realize his long-cherished wish.

Although the United States has waged a fierce battle with our army in the Korean theater, it does not want a full-scale war with China, but Taiwan's choice is very important.

If Taiwan takes advantage of this moment to intervene, the troops planted by our army in the coastal areas will inevitably fight to the death, and then characterize the military behavior of the United States as instigated by the United States.

In that case, the United States would evolve from a local military conflict into a full-scale war between the two countries, which they obviously did not want to see, so they ordered Chiang Kai-shek to remain still.

Chiang Kai-shek was flattering on the surface, but behind the scenes, he had been doing tricks, and he led his subordinates to set up the Liberation Society, and the members of the research work of recovering the mainland.

In this case, the members knew that all their actions were tantamount to hitting a stone with an egg, but in order to save their lives, they still participated in the plan, and finally worked out three models.

These modes of operations mention that whether the United States opposes it or not, they will launch a campaign against the mainland.

If this road does not work, they will turn to enlisting the support of the Russian Communist Party and then force the United States to join.

The last strategic model is to first gain sympathy from the United States, and then attack the mainland after receiving support.

With a little analysis, it is not difficult to find that these three models are difficult to implement, and the root cause is that they have lost their right to speak and it is difficult to take the initiative at the negotiation table.

In the end, Chiang Kai-shek's actions were not supported by the United States, but he still did not give up his ambitions and redrew his battle plan.

In the plan, he pointed out that it is necessary to first launch an attack on the mainland, and use the attack to bring the echo of the mainland compatriots, so as to jointly take concerted action against our army, and once the two sides echo, they will finally achieve the goal together.

One of the reasons why Chiang Kai-shek made such a choice was the lack of support from the United States. Another reason is that he is convinced that many people on the mainland are still standing with him, but only temporarily because of his defeat, so they are subservient to our army.

In his opinion, once he leads the ** to launch a surprise attack on the mainland, he will inevitably win the response of the people, and then he will be able to work at ease and reap the benefits of the fishermen.

It is undeniable that a considerable number of capitalists on the mainland are not optimistic about our party, and this is because when we carry out socialist transformation, we will inevitably move the jobs of the capitalists and arouse the hatred of the other side.

However, compared with the broad masses of the people, these capitalists are a drop in the ocean, and the people unswervingly support our party and support our party's decisions.

During the War of Liberation, the broad masses witnessed the corruption of the Kuomintang and saw the true face of the Kuomintang even more clearly, so they hated it in their bones, let alone supported it.

Therefore, Chiang Kai-shek's strategic plan of "uniting the people and besieging the mainland" had already failed from the moment it was formulated.

But Chiang Kai-shek's ambitions still did not let go.

In order to realize the dream of "** mainland", Chiang Kai-shek tried all methods, but in the end he ended up with hatred.

In 1957, the deadline set by Chiang Kai-shek before the mainland was approaching, and if there was no substantive action, there would undoubtedly be a riot within the country.

Faced with this situation, how exactly would Chiang Kai-shek respond, and would his dreams be disappointed?

In October 1957, the Kuomintang held a congress, during which Chiang Kai-shek gave a speech in which he made a concluding speech on the previous plan.

Chiang Kai-shek said: "The Party's actions have been frustrated one after another, and organizational discipline has been weakened, so that internal reform needs to be put on the agenda, otherwise all plans will be lost." ”

During his speech, Chiang Kai-shek re-mentioned the strategic policy of "** mainland" and advocated the implementation of the relevant strategy at this meeting to set the direction for subsequent implementation.

However, after the meeting, the call for "* mainland" quickly became immersed, which was quite negative news for ** and also caused strong dissatisfaction with Chiang Kai-shek.

At the Second Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee of the Kuomintang, Chiang Kai-shek mentioned this matter again, and he said that many people had put the matter of restoring the country aside, which made him feel cold.

Later, Chiang Kai-shek lamented: "A series of behaviors of the party and the people have shown that everyone has forgotten the humiliation of the past and blurred the pain that they have suffered."

But after a change of words, he said: "However, there are still some enthusiastic younger generations who have never forgotten their original intentions, which strengthens their belief in restoring the country and shows that there is still hope for everything." ”

After some morale boosting, a new slogan was proposed, and the policy of "long-term general warfare" was finally formulated.

But in essence, the new policy is just a change of dress, and there is no essential difference from the past strategic deployment, and it is also destined that there will be no substantial progress this time.

In addition, after several successive defeats, there was no interest in the Kuomintang's plan at home and abroad, and only a few groups responded at a time.

Chiang Kai-shek, seeing that his methods were ineffective, tried to put forward reactionary slogans and subvert the rule of our party.

He wants to unite all the forces that can be relied on on the mainland, unite various social groups such as industry, agriculture, academia, and businessmen to carry out actions and jointly overthrow the mainland.

Ironically, what Chiang Kai-shek was hoping for did not happen, not only did there be no group response on the mainland, but even the Taiwan authorities did not take concrete action, and in the end they had to fail.

In this way, Chiang Kai-shek's general policy at that time was approaching the deadline for realization, but no progress was made.

In contrast, the mainland region is developing in an orderly manner under the administration of our party, the people live and work in peace and contentment, and social production is in good order.

In 1964, China successfully developed and launched the first atomic bomb, thus becoming a country with nuclear weapons, further enhancing its national strength, and forming a strong deterrent to foreign hostile forces.

Even the United States is so impressed with China's development that there will be no more military conflicts in the coming decades, and this is also a powerful blow to the reactionary forces in Taiwan.

In 1969, following the success of the atomic bomb, Japan successfully completed an underground nuclear test. Interestingly, this year was also of great significance to Chiang Kai-shek.

According to the previous strategy, Chiang Kai-shek's plan would be realized in 1969, but not only was this plan not implemented, but the disparity in strength between the two sides became more and more wide.

Faced with the situation that had been completed, Chiang Kai-shek was still unwilling and wanted to unite his members to formulate a plan.

Chiang Kai-shek believed that although the mainland already had nuclear weapons, it had not formed a certain scale, and for **, this was the last opportunity for them to fight back.

However, in the eyes of the outside world, Chiang Kai-shek's actions were merely pretense, and nothing would come of it, and no one believed his promises.

After that, Chiang Kai-shek took some secret military operations against the mainland, but at this time, the ** was like the end of a strong crossbow, and it could no longer form any deterrent to our army.

After repeated failures, Chiang Kai-shek was already disappointed, and finally accepted the reality unwillingly, announcing the dissolution of the Guangfu Society.

Even in the later years of his life, Chiang Kai-shek still did not forget his dream.

When he was dying, he called his son to his side and repeatedly told the other party not to forget his mission and fulfill his unfulfilled wish.

However, the wheels of history are rolling forward, and the continent will only become stronger after years of renewal.

Reform and opening up, the return of Hong Kong and Macao, and the holding of the Olympic Games ......One major historical event after another has demonstrated China's national strength.

Today's China is no longer the China it once was, not only has it become the world's second largest economy, but its achievements in the fields of science and technology, military and other fields are also obvious to all.

Chiang Kai-shek's dream of the Spring and Autumn Festival will never come true.
