Adhering to the tradition of "Winter Investigation and Summer Exhibition, Spring Research and Autumn Competition", the China Academy of Art will carry out the final teaching inspection of the winter semester of the 2023-2024 academic year in January 2024. The teaching inspection was carried out in three stages: college self-inspection, sub-discipline teaching seminar, and school-wide teaching inspection, which lasted 16 days. Each department has carefully prepared, followed the requirements of the undergraduate training, focused on the improvement of the curriculum system and the improvement of teaching quality, started from the characteristics and needs of professional education and teaching, practiced the reform of the credit system, deepened the purpose of "taking the countryside as the college", promoted the implementation of the Gome homework implementation plan, and comprehensively presented high-quality teaching results. In accordance with the relevant requirements, the leadership team of the School of Sculpture and Public Art organized and carried out the teaching self-examination within the college. This paper examines specific teaching issues such as curriculum positioning, teaching content, teaching methods, and teaching effects, and focuses on the relationship between curriculum teaching and training system, and attaches importance to the curriculum chain relationship and the systematization of core courses. Through the self-examination of the college, the problems existing in the current teaching were sorted out.

As a member of the Discipline Construction Committee of Fine Arts, Ban Lingsheng, Dean of the School of Sculpture and Public Art, Zheng Jing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean, and Jin Yanan, Zhang Jun and Shi Bing, representatives of key teachers engaged in front-line teaching, attended the seminar on the teaching of Fine Arts and shared their experiences, problems and suggestions in the teaching of this research institute. The seminar focused on the following three topics:
Implement classified training and focus on curriculum construction. Focus on promoting classified training, consolidating the connotation of disciplines, condensing research directions, reasonably standardizing the research directions and training programs for academic degrees and professional degrees, improving the filling of degree points and teaching norm data, and actively converting high-quality professional general education courses and interdisciplinary professional integration courses into online courses, so as to enhance resource sharing and discipline influence.
Strengthen quality control and strictly control the quality of graduation. Establish mechanisms such as ideological control and dynamic quality monitoring of graduation creation and degree level, increase theoretical research assignments in the form of professional and practical reports in the training process, and strengthen the training of research and writing ability in the normal teaching situation. Strictly control graduation, all training units sort out the quality control data of all aspects of graduation, prepare for the establishment of degree evaluation sub-committees, strengthen the quality control of problem creation and excellence, and strictly control the awarding of degrees.
Deepen the local area as the college, and promote the implementation of the Gome operation. Combined with the training requirements of this research, each training unit sorted out the current status of the construction of the local college, and formed the characteristic implementation plan for the construction of the local college of the discipline based on the teaching characteristics and needs of professional education. In 2024, each teaching unit will build 3 or more college-level joint training bases for industry-academia and industry-education integration; On the basis of the "Gome Homework Implementation Plan", the specific implementation plan of Gome homework in line with the professional development characteristics of the discipline is formulated, and the level of professional education is improved on the basis of professional teaching.
Through participating in this seminar on the teaching of fine arts, the teachers of each college have carried out full exchanges and communication, and have reached an important consensus on classified training, curriculum construction, and national art homework.

At present, the sculpture major, public art major, and fiber art major under the School of Sculpture and Public Art are all the first majors in the history of China's higher art education, and they have all been approvedNational first-class undergraduate major construction siteto achieve full coverage. The school-wide teaching inspection exhibition focuses on the curriculum system and teaching quality effect, and mainly displays the following contents: the first year of undergraduate studies shows the teaching process and achievements around basic teaching; In the second and third grades, 2-3 core courses are used to demonstrate the curriculum system, curriculum focus, and the position and relationship of the course in the teaching chain. Graduate students demonstrate the credit-based course system, and the first-year professional general education courses for graduate students. The graduating year of this graduate school focuses on the national art exhibition and graduation creation, focusing on the overall creative progress of the graduating class and the related creation around the national art exhibition. In this teaching inspection, the School of Sculpture and Public Art focused on the construction of first-class courses, the improvement of teaching quality, and the exploration of classified training. Through communication and exchanges with teachers and students, as well as the presentation of teaching inspection exhibitions, I have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the current teaching situation of the college. While affirming the quality of teaching in the college, some problems and deficiencies were also discovered. For example, some courses are not reasonable enough, the classified training model still needs to be explored, and the implementation of the credit system reform needs to be strengthened. The college will actively take a series of measures to integrate and improve. For example, we will further improve the curriculum and system construction, further promote the reform of the credit system, actively explore the classified training model, improve the teaching level of teachers, and implement the homework of Gome to ensure the continuous and steady improvement of the teaching quality of the college.
