In March of the seventeenth year of Ming Chongzhen (1644), the Forbidden City in Beijing.

At present, the flags outside Beijing are covered with flags, swords and guns are like forests, and millions of troops are gathered under the city, and the momentum is monstrous; But at this time, the palace of the imperial city was so quiet that it was audible that the needle could be heard, and the Chongzhen Emperor Zhu Youzhen was sitting on the dragon chair weakly, staring blankly at Wei Zaode, the first assistant of the cabinet.

In terms of concentration, Chongzhen is obviously not Wei Zaode's opponent. The emperor, who was unwilling to continue to consume, was the first to speak: "Wei Aiqing, what should I do now?" As soon as you ask, I will do it. ”

The emperor's meaning couldn't be more straightforward, Wei Shoufu, whether it is to negotiate peace or move the capital, as long as you have an idea, I will listen to you.

However, Wei Zaode remained silent.

Wei Zaode knows too well the temper of the great tomorrow in front of him, and in line with the principle of not seeking merit but seeking no fault, he will never dare to be the master for the emperor.

Chongzhen's madness in his heart can be imagined, and in his anger, he used the power of the wilderness to overturn the dragon chair. In normal times, Wei Zaode would inevitably have died like most of the previous Shoufu, but at this time, Chongzhen obviously had no time to cure his sins.

It didn't take long for the city of Beijing to be broken, Chongzhen was martyred, and Wei Zaode survived.

Since Li Zicheng sat in the Jinluan Palace, the former Ming ministers immediately cleaned up their moods and thought about how to occupy a place in the Dashun Imperial Court.

For example, Shu Jishi Zhou Zhong wrote a splendid article praising Li Zicheng, praising Li Zicheng for "more martial arts than Yao Shun, and more shameless than Tang Wu", and the former master Chongzhen is just a **, and when he saw the true dragon emperor, he could only give the first punishment.

As the former cabinet chief, Wei Zaode boasted of Wang Zuozhi's talent, but how could he be willing to be behind, so Wei Zaode took the initiative to take refuge in Li Zicheng and wanted to find a good future for himself.

But the ideal is very plump, the reality is very skinny, and Li Zicheng looks down on Wei Zaode. When Liu Zongmin, the general of the breaking army, saw Wei Zaode, he angrily denounced him on the spot as the first assistant but the assistant government had no way, and he was a sinner in the Ming Dynasty.

Lao Wei thought about it, this is not right, I played a set of Tai Chi during my tenure, and I didn't do anything, how can I say that it is my responsibility, this pot is too big, I don't carry it. So, Wei Zaode hurriedly explained: "It's all Chongzhen and no way. ”

It's okay not to explain, this explanation, Liu Zongmin was even more annoyed, and continued to scold: "You are a scholar, Chongzhen appointed you as the champion, and in less than three years, he made you the first assistant, and everyone in the world can say that he has no way, but you can't." ”

Subsequently, Wei Zaode was imprisoned in Liu Zongmin's camp. Lao Wei would question the guards through the crack in the door every day: "If you want to use me, you don't need to detain me, you can appoint me however you want, why do you want to lock me up?" ”

However, Wei Zaode didn't realize that in the eyes of Chuang Jun, the first assistant of the Ming Cabinet must be a big fish with a lot of money, and it is much more cost-effective to catch him than to use him. Soon, Wei Zaode, like most of the former Ming ministers, ushered in a large-scale operation to recover stolen goods and help the army.

According to Li Zicheng's game rules, the ** nobles in Beijing have salary standards: 10,000 to 50,000 taels for Shizhong, Yushi, Hanlin, etc.; 30,000 to 70,000 taels of Jingqing, Jinyi, etc.; Cabinet 100,000 taels; Xun Qi is accompanying the market, and there is no cap. A cadre of people must gather enough silver taels to be released, otherwise they will all be clamped to death.

This is going to be fatal, Wei Zaode's family gave everything they have, and handed over more than 10,000 taels, but it is still far less than the ransom standard of 100,000 taels. After that, Wei Zaode was sentenced to five days and five nights, and finally had his head cut off and died tragically in prison.

After Wei Zaode's death, the army did not let go of the former cabinet chief, and his father and son paid their debts, so they continued to arrest his son and torture him. Under torture, the son of Wei Zaode begged bitterly: "The family has been scavenged, if my father is here, I can still go to his protégé and old official, and now that my father is dead, can I borrow it?" ”

Liu Zongmin knew that the Wei family really had no money, so he immediately ordered someone to behead Wei Zaode's son to show the public.

On the Huangquan Road, Lao Wei inevitably complained to his son: Dad, if you knew this, it is really better to be martyred when the city is broken, and you will not lose your life and your name will be ruined!

The Dashun Army's operation to recover stolen goods and subsidize wages.

02 Imperial History

Shoufu Wei Zaode did not survive the catastrophe of recovering stolen goods, and in comparison, Zuodu Yushi Gong Dingxiao (zī) was much luckier.

Due to the relatively low ransom at his level and his good popularity, although he was beaten for a few days, he was still dragged back by relatives and friends from the ghost gate.

Perhaps it was because all thoughts were lost after the catastrophe, Gong Dingyu once wanted to take his concubine Gu Mei to die, but unfortunately he was found by a neighbor, and he was saved but did not die.

After three times and two times, Gong Dingyu was enlightened, so he chose to throw himself into the arms of Li Zicheng and became the direct commander of the Dashun Dynasty. After Li Zicheng was driven away, Gong Dingyu betrayed again and surrendered to the Qing Dynasty.

Although he has the aura of a slave with three surnames, the scholar still has to save face after all, and in the face of everyone's disdainful eyes, Gong Dingyu has already thought of a reason for his failure to die: "I originally wanted to die, but the concubine refused." ”

Soon, everyone in the streets and alleys of the capital knew that Gong Dingyu was being sarcastic behind his back, and his concubine Gu Mei, who was once one of the "Qin Huai Bayan", was now taking the blame for her husband, and she had been stuck in her throat, not vomiting or unhappy.

Once, Gong Dingyu and Gu Mei had a cold war, and Gong Dingyu had to ask his friend Qian Qianyi to intercede for him. Facing this "water is too cold" layman, Gu Mei made a pun, and even scolded the two of them: "If he can be Sun Wugong, then the concubine can also be Ge Nenniang!" ”

Sun Wugong refers to the anti-Qing general Sun Kexian, and Ge Nenniang is his concubine and a famous prostitute in Qinhuai, and later both chose to be martyred. As soon as Gu Mei said this, Gong Dingyu and Qian Qianyi were so ashamed that they scratched their ears and cheeks, and they were embarrassed.

Even if he was ridiculed by the concubine at home, in the court, Gong Dingyu's situation was also very embarrassing.

With a large number of former Ming ** entering the Qing Dynasty, it is natural to bring those party disputes and grievances of the previous dynasty to the new dynasty.

In the second year of Shunzhi (1645), the officials of Kedao suddenly concentrated their firepower and began to ** the university scholar Feng Quan, who had been a eunuch in the previous dynasty, and caused disaster to the country and the people in the previous dynasty, and scolded him as a traitor in unison, and implored the Qing court to kill Feng Quan.

This is a very nonsensical accusation, in Dolgon's view, Feng Quan is loyal to the Qing Dynasty, and what he did in the past cannot be compared with the current eight poles, it is simply laughable and crying. At the same time, he was also keenly aware that the scourge of party strife in the Ming Dynasty had a tendency to spread to the Qing Dynasty, so he chose to stand firmly on Feng Quan's side and severely reprimanded the official of Kedaoyan.

Gong Dingyu was the backbone of this anti-Feng operation, and Gong Dingyu decided to be tough on Dolgon's deliberate bias towards Feng Quan.

So, Gong Dingyu asked Dolgon in person, and his words were conclusive: "Feng Quan has a negative apocalypse, and he is a villain who relies on Wei Zhongxian to do evil." ”

Okay, you Gong Dingyu, laugh in fifty steps and laugh in a hundred steps, okay, I'll shake out all your things for you!

Feng Quan counterattacked on the spot and told Dolgon about Gong Dingyu's defection to Li Zicheng and his appointment as the direct commander.

In this regard, Gong Dingyu hurriedly defended: "At that time, I was not alone, who did not submit to it? Moreover, Wei Zheng also returned to Tang Taizong. ”

When Dolgon heard this, he almost stopped laughing, and couldn't help sneering: "A man should first be self-righteous and loyal, and then he can accuse others. Gong Dingyu compared himself to Wei Zheng and Li Zicheng to Tang Taizong, which is particularly shameful. ”

In this wave of **, Feng Quan was unharmed, and he was rewarded by Dolgon afterwards, while Gong Dingyu was humiliated in vain and lost face again.

Since then, Gong Dingyu has worked diligently in the Shunzhi and Kangxi dynasties, and has been a scholar of Zhonghe Temple, although he has experienced many ups and downs in the sea during this period, he finally died well, and was given the nickname "Duan Yi" by the Qing court.

However, it is always necessary to pay it back.

A hundred years later, Qianlong ordered the compilation of "The Biography of Erchen", and Gong Dingyu was very honored to be selected by Qianlong, and at the same time, Qianlong did not forget to deprive him of his nickname.

Because you don't deserve it!

Gong Dingyu (he, Qian Qianyi, Wu Weiye and known as the "three masters of Jiangzuo" in the poetry circle).

In November of the first year of Shunzhi (1644), the Forbidden City of Beijing.

At the beginning of the new dynasty, Vientiane was renewed, and everything in this ancient country was overturned with the change of the old and new regimes, and even the court meeting in the Forbidden City was followed by a very dramatic scene.

As far as the eye can see, the two classes of ministers in the hall are lined up on the left and right, on the left is the Manchu Qing ** who is dressed in full clothes, shaved and braided, and on the right is the former Ming ministers wearing Hanfu clothes and tied their hair. It is particularly ironic that two groups that were originally hostile to each other can now work together.

Among them, there was one person at the very end of the two columns, particularly abrupt, he was on the left for a while, and then hurried to the right, back and forth, extremely embarrassed.

It turned out that this person was the new left attendant of the Ministry of Rites, Sun Zhiqi (xiè), who served as a waiter in the Hanlin Academy in the former Ming Dynasty, and was deposed after Chongzhen's early years of committing a crime, and has been dormant at home. On the occasion of the Ding Revolution, Sun Zhiqi returned to the Qing court under the recommendation of the governor of Shandong, and was able to enter Beijing as an official and reopen his career.

For the Qing court, who had the grace of knowing things, Sun Zhiqi was of course grateful to Dade, shaved his hair early and changed his face completely, but it was this change that made him an outlier in the court. Say he's a Manchu official, of course not, let's say he's a Hanchen, and he dragged a thin money rat tail, so both sides rejected him and refused to be with him.

In this way, Sun Zhiqi became a big joke in the court of the Manchu Qing Dynasty, and lived like a year under the contempt of civil and military officials. Finally, Lao Sun couldn't bear it anymore, and after some careful consideration, he wrote hard and sent a long letter to Shunzhi and Dolgon.

In the recital, Sun Zhiqi first clarified his loyalty: "The minister's wife was the first to let go, and my whole family was the first to follow the example of the Manchurian people to shave their hair. Because of this, Sun Zhiqi was also subjected to the ** of the Han official, saying that he violated filial piety.

Lao Sun poured bitter water, just to illustrate one thing: Looking at the Qing Dynasty, no one is more loyal than me!

Then, Sun Zhiqi cut to the chase and said what he wanted to say the most: "Your Majesty has pacified China, and Vientiane is new, but only this system of clothes and hair still continues the old system of the Han people, which is Your Majesty's obedience to China, not China's obedience to Your Majesty." ”

In short, Sun Zhiqi suggested that I should quickly implement shaving and easy to wear, and I should not be the only one who can become a laughing stock.

Previously, the Qing court had issued an order to shave his hair and change his clothes, but the world was undecided, and the resistance was too great, so he had to withdraw his fate. After reading it, Shunzhi recalled the Hanchens' resistance to shaving their hair, and couldn't help but sigh with emotion: "I really didn't expect that there could be such a conscious talent among the ministers!" ”

Seeking benevolence and benevolence, after the world was initially decided, the Qing court, which had long been impatient, threw out the policy through the mouth of Sun Zhiqi, and the land of Shenzhou was once again bloody, and Sun Zhiqi naturally became the public enemy of the whole world.

It is easy to shave your hair at the beginning of the Qing Dynasty.

Shaving his hair and changing clothes was not enough to occupy a place in the new dynasty, and after that, Sun Zhiqi began to run from place to place, serving the Qing court to unify the world.

In Jiangxi, Sun Zhiqi personally appeased the state capitals for the Qing court, and achieved remarkable results. But the good times did not last long, because he promised the official position of a military general without authorization, Sun Zhiqi was held accountable by the Qing court, and returned to his hometown for the second time.

In his hometown of Zichuan, Sun Zhiqi is looking forward to it, waiting for the next opportunity to make a comeback. But wait, wait, wait, I didn't expect the edict of the Qing court, but ushered in the besieging rebels.

In the fourth year of Shunzhi, Xie Qian erected an anti-Qing banner in central Shandong, led the crowd to destroy the city and pull out the village, and soon hit Zichuan County. The county ordered Liu Xiu to immediately turn to Sun Zhiqi, who knew the military affairs, and Sun Zhiqi defended the county seat with the Zichuan army and civilians.

In June, the city gate should be suddenly opened, Zichuan City was broken, the rebels swarmed into the city, and Sun Zhiqi was also captured.

The rebels wanted to recruit Sun Zhiqi, and even threatened the life of his grandson, however, at the critical juncture, Sun Zhiqi showed a high loyalty to the Qing court, even if the four grandsons were killed one after another, he still refused to give in, but scolded angrily.

In the end, Sun Zhiqi was executed in public by the rebels, and then his body was divided to vent his anger.

When news of Sun's death reached Beijing, disagreements arose within the Qing court over whether to compensate him. Most of the Hanchens who surrendered after the death of the Ming Dynasty were sad and advocated compensation, but the Hanchens who surrendered to the Qing Dynasty earlier generally believed that Sun Zhiqi was not an official of the imperial court and that the imperial court did not need to be compensated.

Shunzhi finally made a decision: no bereavement.

The court's pension is for **, this is just a good dog.
