The 1+x certificate system is a major innovation in the reform of vocational education, which fully reflects the attributes of vocational education based on occupation and employment-oriented. With the gradual increase of HAZOP's influence in the industry, in order to implement the requirements of the "National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan" for the construction of the comprehensive education mechanism of "post course competition certificate" and the in-depth implementation of the vocational skill level certificate system, in 2023, the "Chemical Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) Analysis Vocational Skill Level Standard" has been adopted by a number of competitions.
First, the HSE skills competition of modern chemical industry introduces the HAZOP module to assess and evaluate students' vocational ability.
Chemical HAZOP analysis is an indispensable part of the comprehensive skills of modern chemical HSE. In December 2023, the National HSE Skills Competition for Modern Chemical Industry in Higher Vocational Colleges hosted by the Chemical Industry Education Association of China (CCE) was held in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province. Relying on the "Chemical Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) Analysis Vocational Skill Level Standard", this competition set up a desktop deduction task for chemical hazard and operability (HAZOP) analysis and accident disposal, and integrated chemical HAZOP analysis technology and accident emergency response into the modern chemical HSE skills competition.

The modern chemical HSE skills competition is connected with the national strategy, strengthens the construction of majors, leads the teaching reform, promotes the integration of industry and education, implements the construction requirements of the "National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan" for the comprehensive education mechanism of "post course certificate", and transforms the content of the competition into the evaluation standards of modern chemical HSE vocational ability (elementary, intermediate and senior), benchmarks the job ability needs of enterprises in the industry, and serves the education and teaching of colleges and universities.
The second is the introduction of HAZOP analysis module in the chemical experiment competition to assess and evaluate students' engineering ability.
With the gradual increase of the influence of chemical HAZOP analysis in the chemical industry, chemical HAZOP analysis was adopted by the 6th National College Student Chemical Experiment Competition and became an important module of the competition.
The content of this competition is mainly based on the relevant requirements of the National Standards for the Teaching Quality of Undergraduate Chemical Engineering Majors in Colleges and Universities, and the competition includes three parts: chemical principle theory, chemical unit operation and analysis, and chemical principle experiment, and the chemical HAZOP analysis module is introduced for the first time. A total of more than 2,000 contestants from all sub-divisions across the country participated in the competition, of which 375 contestants passed the chemical hazop analysis module, which became an important basis for assessing students' hazop analysis engineering ability.

In 2024, Beijing Chemical Education and Talent Education Science and Technology will continue to improve the comprehensive education mechanism of "post course certificate", further promote the combination of X certificate and ability evaluation, continuously improve the influence of HAZOP analysis vocational skill level certificate, and promote the construction of vocational ability evaluation system in the petroleum and chemical industry.
