Tiananmen viewing platform, ** staring at Sun Yiyears

At the May Day celebration in 1953, Sun Yi, commander of the Hebei Military Region, happily looked at the phalanxes passing by one by one, and his heart was excited. He couldn't help but look at the founder of the republic*** but saw the Minister of Public Security*** staring at him tightly, as if he was about to rush over and arrest him at any moment.

Sun Yi was puzzled and said to himself, "Did I do something wrong?" ”

Sun Yi was born in 1904 into a family of yeoman farmers and had a difficult life, but his parents still insisted that he receive an education. In 1920, Hebei suffered a natural disaster, and Sun Yi's family economy was interrupted, so he had to leave school and enter society to find a way out.

He worked hard in society for more than half a year, but he was never able to find a stable job. Eventually, in order to survive, he signed up for the army. At that time, during the period of cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, there were many Communists in the Kuomintang army, who actively propagated the red ideology and advocated democracy and equality.

Sun Yi was deeply affected and gradually became a leftist who supported communism. After the breakdown of the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, the communists in Sun Yi's unit actively responded to the call of ***, launched an uprising, and carried out armed struggle.

When Mr. Zhu heard the news, he immediately sent someone to take them to the Soviet area, and Sun Yi was transformed from an old soldier into a glorious revolutionary soldier.

Sun Yi worked as an organizer of entertainment activities in the logistics department, and as the situation in the Soviet area was severe and the entertainment activities were canceled, he was transferred to the chief of staff of the ** instructor. At the beginning of the Red Army's Long March, Sun Yi could originally march on horseback, but because he had served in the old army, Li De, the military adviser of the Comintern, canceled his treatment.

But he did not complain, and crossed the mountains with the soldiers, and finally successfully reached the Soviet area of northern Shaanxi in 1936. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Sun Yi served as the chief of staff of the 115th Division of the 343rd Division of the Eighth Route Army, participated in the victory of Pingxingguan, and was transferred back to the rear the following year to serve as the president of the second branch of the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University, and cultivated a large number of talents for the revolutionary team.

During the Liberation War, he became the commander of the 7th Column of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Military Region, and in 1949 he was promoted to the commander of the North China Military Region Supplementary Training Corps, and cooperated with friendly forces to liberate Shijiazhuang and Tianjin.

Sun Yi was assigned to work at the North China Army Military Academy of the People's Liberation Army after the Pingjin Campaign, and in 1952 he served as the commander of the Hebei Military Region, responsible for defending *** On May 1, 1953, ** decided to hold a May Day celebration, and Sun Yi was invited to participate.

However, during the celebration, he found that as long as he looked up at the chairman, the Minister of Public Security *** would keep an eye on him. Because *** suspects that Sun Yi is a spy and tries to assassinate the chairman!

This suspicion stems from a few months ago, ** received a report that a person named Sun Yi was secretly contacting the Kuomintang in Taiwan to leak confidential information about ***.

**Deeply worried about this, he recalled that in 1949, when *** attended the Soviet Union, the spies had spied on ***'s itinerary and almost caused a catastrophe. The resurgence of these reactionary elements must harbor bad intentions, and we must take strict precautions against them and not allow them any chance.

** Immediately formed a small team, conducted a secret investigation, and finally found out the truth, it turned out to be a spy set up by the Kuomintang in Beijing, in order to disturb the public, pretending to be called"Sun Yi", the whole thing actually has nothing to do with Sun Yi.

After learning the truth, Sun Yi did not blame *** for misunderstanding himself, because *** and ***'s safety is the most important, and if it were him, he would do the same.

In 1955, Sun Yi was awarded the rank of lieutenant general, in 1957 he was transferred to the logistics department, specifically responsible for the management of publications, and after officially retiring in 1980, he moved out of the military compound and lived in a courtyard.

Whenever he found a stone on the road, he kicked it aside, for fear that a child would trip over. Although the army provided him with a special car, his family would never allow him to use it, but if a neighbor had an urgent need to use it, he would immediately lend the car out, which was also to serve the people.

In 2003, Sun Yi suddenly fell ill and died at the age of 100.

Sun Yi had worked for warlords, but he had always embraced communism. After the line of armed struggle was established, he decisively abandoned the dark road and became a Red Army fighter fighting for the proletariat.

Although he could not be compared with famous generals such as Su Yu and Chen Geng in terms of combat skills, he was proficient in all kinds of service work and silently supported the front-line troops in the rear. Even when he was wronged, he had no complaints and insisted that "his body is not afraid of shadows".

After his retirement, he still used his own way to benefit the masses and exert his spare energy, and this dedication is commendable!
