During the winter vacation, the climate is cold, the air is dry, the amount of electricity and gas is increasing, and the fire hazards are increasing day by day. The following winter fire safety knowledge, please parents and students must keep in mind!
1. Daily prevention
Consciously abide by fire laws and regulations, strengthen fire awareness, and attach importance to fire protection work. Tell your child not to play with fire and not to play with electrical appliances or they will get themselves harmed.
Do not touch live objects, including wires, sockets, etc., do not touch electrical appliances and power supplies with wet hands, do not wipe electrical appliances with wet cloths, and do not put metal objects and hands into the power jack.
The plug-in board should not be filled with multiple electrical appliances, especially high-power heating appliances and kettles since the beginning of winter, to avoid overload of electricity.
In the cold winter, some remote rural areas will choose to use charcoal fire for heating, pay attention to ventilation, keep indoor air circulation, ensure that the flue is unobstructed and do not leak, install ventilation facilities, and do not stay in the unventilated room for a long time to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
Regularly check the fire hazards at home, deal with flammable and combustible materials, and do "three clearances and three clearances" when going out (clear the walkway, clear the balcony, clear the kitchen, turn off the fire source, turn off the power supply, and turn off the gas).
Recognize some fire signs, know what is a safety exit, what is the direction of evacuation, what is not to be played with, and what is a hazmat.
Fire safety "four understandings and four skills": understand the danger of fire and call the police; Know how to prevent fire and use fire extinguishers; Understand how to fight fires, and will extinguish the initial fire; Know how to escape from a fire and be able to escape.
It is strictly forbidden to carry flammable and explosive dangerous goods when entering public places; It is strictly forbidden to smoke or use open flames in places where there is fire or danger. When entering crowded places such as shopping malls, pay attention to the location of safety exits and evacuation passages, and evacuate quickly in the event of a fire.
Do not set off fireworks and firecrackers in the prohibited area, children should have parents to supervise fireworks and firecrackers, clean up the surrounding combustibles before setting off, do not look close to prevent injury, and clean the site in time after setting off fireworks and firecrackers.
2. Common sense of fire extinguishing
If you find a fire, call the fire police **119 immediately. When calling the police, it is necessary to explain the detailed address, the first location, the burning substance, the size of the fire, the name and number of the person who called the police, and send someone to the intersection to meet the fire truck.
If a gas tank catches fire, cover it with soaked bedding and clothing, and close the valve quickly.
If a household appliance or line catches fire, cut off the power supply first, and then use a dry powder or gas fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire.
Do not open doors and windows rashly when fighting fires, so as to avoid air convection and accelerate the spread of the fire.
How to use dry chemical fire extinguisher:
Before use, shake the fire extinguisher several times to loosen the dry powder in the bottle.
Unplug the safety pin and aim at the root of the flame to press down the pressure handle to spray.
During the extinguishing process, it should always be kept upright and should not be used horizontally or upside down.
Do not open doors and windows rashly when fighting fires, so as to avoid air convection and accelerate the spread of the fire.
3. Escape and self-rescue
Don't panic. If you find a fire, keep calm, determine the location of the fire, the size of the fire and the direction of its spread as soon as possible, and then decide on the escape method. When entering an unfamiliar environment, familiarize yourself with the surrounding evacuation routes, safety exits and staircase directions.
Don't be greedy for money and fetish. In the event of a fire, take a decision, put on soaked clothes, bedding, etc., and rush out in the direction of the safety exit. Keep your body as close to the ground as possible, crawl or bend forward, and cover your mouth and nose with a wet towel.
Don't take the elevator. In the event of a fire, evacuate to a safety exit, stairwell, etc. The elevator may fail or malfunction at any time, and the elevator shaft, pipeline shaft and other places are prone to form a "chimney" effect, and once trapped, it is difficult to escape.
Don't open the door randomly. When there is a fire outside, do not open the door if it is hot to prevent the fire from entering the room. Block doors and windows with soaked bedding and clothing, and splash water to cool down.
Don't jump off a building blindly. If the escape route is blocked by fire, retreat indoors immediately. You can send a distress signal at the window by turning on the flashlight, waving clothes, making a call, etc.
Don't be negligent. You should be familiar with the evacuation route, actively participate in evacuation drills, and learn how to use escape equipment. Master the escape methods such as rope escape, wet wipes smoke prevention, low posture forward, and alarm for help.
Happy winter vacation, safe no holiday, the Spring Festival is approaching, please parents and students do not relax their vigilance, keep in mind fire safety at the same time, but also pay attention to abide by traffic rules, with the return of people to return to their hometowns for the New Year, road traffic vehicles increase, to avoid traffic accidents. In addition, we should also pay attention to the child's dietary safety, avoid illness from the mouth, adhere to regular eating habits, do not overeat, do not be picky eaters, ensure adequate nutritional intake, spend a happy holiday safely, and let the child grow up safely, healthily and happily!
