From February 1st to 2nd, the Third Plenary Session of the Fifth National Committee of the China Agriculture, Forestry, Water Conservancy and Meteorological Union was held in Beijing. The meeting summarized the work in 2023, deployed the tasks for 2024, and fulfilled the democratic procedures related to personnel matters. Leading comrades of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions attended the meeting and delivered speeches.
Since the Second Plenary Committee Meeting of the Fifth Session of the China Agriculture, Forestry, Water Conservancy and Meteorological Trade Union, the trade unions at all levels of agriculture, forestry, water conservancy and meteorology have made great efforts to strengthen the ideological and political guidance of employees, organize and mobilize industrial workers to make contributions to the high-quality development of the industry, highlight the key points to solve the urgent and difficult problems of industrial workers, and comprehensively strengthen the construction of industrial trade unions themselves, and new progress has been made in various tasks. In particular, the special action of "Warm Border and Green Environment" to care for workers has been launched, and activities such as "caring for the black soil of Sanjiang and warming the workers in the border areas", "sending doctors to the frontiers" and "cultural ocean" have been carried out in Heilongjiang, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and Zhejiang, so as to help the workers in the border areas solve the problems of urgency, hardship and longing.
In 2024, trade unions at all levels of agriculture, forestry, water conservancy and meteorology will study and implement the spirit of the 18th National Congress of Chinese Trade Unions and the Second Executive Committee Meeting of the 18th ACFTU, focusing on adhering to the leadership of the party, condensing the majestic strength of the new journey of industrial workers, continuously improving the sense of gain, happiness and security of industrial workers, maintaining the stability of the workforce, deepening reform and innovation, and improving the quality of party building. Vocational skills competitions in the water conservancy, forestry and grassland, and meteorological industries, deepen the construction of model worker innovation studios and innovation studio alliances, strengthen the construction of the cultivation system for skilled talents, continue to deepen the special action of caring for employees in the "warm edge and green environment", establish a docking mechanism with the 12351** platform, improve the practical ability of "Internet + trade unions" and other key work, and organize and mobilize the majority of industrial workers to give full play to the role of the main force of the working class in the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation.
