I want to study in Japan for a short period of time, what kind of visa should I apply for?

There are three types of visas to choose from:

(1) Short-term visa: You can apply for this visa if you are a resident of Japan and you can act as a guarantor.

(2) Short-term visa: This visa can be applied for if the student status is guaranteed by a Japanese institution. However, in addition to the general application documents for a short-term business visa, you will also need to submit proof of affordability.

(3) Visa with a status of residence of "Student": If you apply for a Certificate of Eligibility (status of residence is "Student") through a Japanese school, you can apply for a visa for the purpose of studying abroad for a period of 3 months.

The documents required for the above types of visa applications are different, please communicate with the Japanese university and choose the most suitable visa for you.

I am a state-funded international student( )How do I apply for a student visa?

In this context, "nationally funded study abroad" refers to international students who have received a scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, and Culture.

How to apply:

Apply for a visa through a visa agency designated by the embassy to the consular section of the Japanese embassy or the consulate general of Japan.

Application Materials:

Visa Application Form Passport ** Copy of Admission Certificate for National Scholarship Students.

Please note the following four points:

1) Please fill in the scholarship status column :* the "Study Abroad Questionnaire" truthfully.

2) Certificate of employment of the tuition payer: This document is for self-financed international students, and state-funded international students do not need to submit it. It is sufficient to replace it with proof of scholarship (scholarship eligibility notice, etc.).

3) In addition, you can attach a Japanese admission permit as a supplementary document.

4) State-funded international students do not need to submit a Certificate of Eligibility when applying for a student visa.
