During this Spring Festival holiday, most of the professional groups have started the vacation mode, but a few professional groups are extremely busy and very popular. According to CCTV, as more and more tourists "wear Hanfu and visit the ancient city", at the same time, various theatrical performances are also increasing, so that the market demand for makeup artists has increased rapidly, so that the professional group of makeup artists is in short supply during the Spring Festival. A student at a makeup school in Xi'an revealed that his income ranged from 500 yuan to 1,000 yuan a day during the holiday.
Makeup artist, as a traditional profession, has suddenly become popular. It is said that students who have just graduated from makeup school can also reach a good level of income; Moreover, teachers who teach makeup are more sought-after, and some regional industry associations even need to recruit makeup teachers across provinces. These signs show that traditional occupations can also usher in a "second spring", as long as they are good at grasping market opportunities, they are expected to become popular occupations.
The professional group of makeup artists has become "fragrant and sweet" during the Spring Festival, which can be summed up for no more than two reasons. First, with the recovery of the tourism market, some tourism projects have brought fire to the profession of makeup artist. Whether it is the ancient city of Xi'an or Luoyang and other cities, there are many experiential tourism projects, such as tourists dressed up as ancient people, which is integrated with the environment and atmosphere of the ancient city, and the interaction with the actors, the experience effect is undoubtedly better.
From the ** lens during the Spring Festival to the circle of friends, you can see that many tourists have undergone professional makeup, and there have been significant changes in hairstyles, faces, clothing, etc., which not only contain historical symbols, but also contain entertainment colors. When more and more tourists like to walk into history and play a time, it is natural that makeup artists can not do without professional services such as applying powder, thrush, lip pointing, and matching Hanfu.
Second, during the Spring Festival, many newlyweds get married and various theatrical performances and other activities are indispensable for makeup artists, when the limited number of makeup artists are diverted by various needs, further aggravating the shortage of makeup artists. Even some people will find a makeup artist to "beautify" themselves before visiting relatives and friends for a party during the Spring Festival. It can be said that now that we have entered the era of public love for beauty, the "beauty business" from makeup to plastic surgery is becoming more and more popular, which is the best proof of this.
Among them, the profession of makeup artist is popular, which brings a lot of inspiration to vocational education. Although many secondary vocational and technical schools have long offered beauty salons and other related majors, the facts show that they are still unable to meet the market demand. The reason is that traditional beauty vocational training may not meet today's market demand, such as the professional knowledge and skills of traditional beauticians and makeup artists, may not be able to meet the makeup needs of today's tourists for experiential tourism projects.
In a sense, today we do not lack general beauticians and hairdressers, but there is a clear shortage of makeup artists. It is important to realize that makeup artists may seem indistinguishable from the first two professions, but they are actually different, because makeup artists focus on all aspects of styling, not just the customer's face and hair. This suggests that vocational education schools around the country should tilt towards makeup majors according to market demand in terms of professional settings and teacher allocation.
More importantly, when vocational education institutions train makeup artists, they should pay attention to the improvement of students' artistic attainments, aesthetic literacy, and historical knowledge. For example, if the trained makeup artists do not understand the makeup in the Han and Tang cultures, I am afraid it will be difficult to be popular in the Xi'an tourism market; If you don't know the history and culture of Luoyang, the makeup style may not be popular with tourists because it deviates from historical facts. So, training a makeup artist is not a simple matter.
The person in charge of a makeup school in Xi'an believes that students can be competent after studying in school for one and a half months to two months, or three and a half months to four months. Frankly speaking, short-term training of makeup artists can only meet the general needs, and it is difficult to meet the needs of tourists who really understand the culture of the Han and Tang dynasties and want to experience it in depth. From this point of view, vocational education institutions that provide makeup artist training should not be satisfied with training ordinary makeup artists, but also cultivate high-quality makeup talents.
In short, in the context of improving the quality of vocational education has been repeatedly emphasized in recent years, making vocational education closer to market demand and public aesthetics should be a "gold mine" to be developed. (Feng Haining).
