Unmanned forklift is an important part of modern logistics automation system, and the application of PLC in unmanned forklift is mainly reflected in the following aspects:
1) Motion control: PLC can control the walking, lifting, rotating and other actions of the unmanned forklift according to its motion needs. Through the preset program, the PLC can calculate the optimal motion trajectory according to the current position and target position of the unmanned forklift, and control the motor, hydraulic system and other actuators, so that the unmanned forklift can accurately and stably complete various movements.
2) Sensor data processing: Unmanned forklifts are usually equipped with a variety of sensors, such as lidar, infrared sensors, ultrasonic sensors, etc., which are used to detect the environment and obstacles around the unmanned forklift. The PLC can receive and process the data from these sensors, and make real-time adjustments to the movement of the unmanned forklift based on the data feedback to ensure that it completes the operation task safely and accurately.
3) Communication and data interaction: PLC also undertakes the task of communication and data interaction with other equipment in unmanned forklifts. For example, the unmanned forklift needs to interact with the host computer system, receive job tasks and status information, and at the same time feed back its own status and location information to the host computer system. The PLC can communicate with the host computer system through serial port, CAN bus, etc., to realize the transmission of data and the reception of control instructions.
4) Safety control: Safety control is one of the important requirements for unmanned forklifts. PLC can control and monitor various safety functions of unmanned forklifts, such as anti-collision, anti-falling, fork self-locking, etc. Through the preset safety control program, PLC can take corresponding safety measures in time when dangerous situations occur to ensure the working safety of unmanned forklifts.
