The report pointed out that the main purpose of the U.S. Commerce Department's trip was to ensure that the relevant parties "fully understand" the U.S. ban on semiconductor exports.
The U.S. strategy is clear, imposing semiconductor export restrictions on Chinese mainland while seeking cooperation with Taiwan, which is trying to use the opportunity to highlight its peculiarities.
There have been two key shifts in this process.
First, in November 2022, the United States adopted a charter flight to gradually transfer more than 1,000 TSMC engineers and their families to the United States. The purpose of the United States is very clear, that is, by canceling China's status as a developing country, depriving it of the preferential policies and technical support and other rights and interests enjoyed in the World Organization (WTO), and then using the first and technological blockade and other means to suppress China, so as to achieve the strategy of containing China's development.
