The Book of Songs was written in the middle of the Spring and Autumn Period at the latest, and people in the middle and late Spring and Autumn Period knew that the word "harm" had the meaning of "preventing". Combined with the character '舝' used in the text, it is speculated that the writing time of "The Book of Songs, National Style, Shaofeng and Spring Water" is about the middle of the Spring and Autumn Period. But this is not the earliest record of grease the wheel hub, knowing that humans are not the only creatures in nature who use tools. Even if there is no writing, it does not delay any communication between living beings, and the use of tools to improve efficiency is a phenomenon unique to living beings. From the first log rolling to drive the movement of objects to the relatively formed chariots of the Shang Dynasty, the history of the use of chariots is far older than writing.
The infusion of wheels with animal fat like this would not have been recorded in the oracle bones, but the complex structure of the Shang Dynasty car can already be made up.
