Foreword. Tielu Township is a famous cultural hometown in Lintong District, Xi'an City, which has a long history and has many Yangshao cultural archaeological discoveries in the jurisdiction. During the Cultural Revolution, the land was leveled, and many ancient tombs of the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period were discovered, and bronze swords were unearthed. During the Qin and Han dynasties, this is the place where the soldiers must pass, Liu Bang entered the pass, broke the pass, went west through the Qingni City to the Bailuyuan, to the north, the best way to go is the iron furnace ancient road. In the former Qin Dynasty, Fu Jian built a city here and attached great importance to cultural construction. During the Sui Dynasty, the Lingyuan County Administration Office was located in the iron furnace. During the War of Liberation, ** passed by here from Shangluo to Yan'an, and now, there are still stories of fighting wits and courage with the local regiments of the Kuomintang. After the liberation, there are still many cultural masters here, and there are five brothers and sisters who have three doctoral supervisors and a chairman of a state-owned enterprise, which has a great influence on the history of contemporary education in the iron furnace. In the field of literature and art, there are also many talents, Li Bingyin's reportage, Deng Yimin's freehand ink figure painting, and ink painting of flowers and birds and landscapes, Liu Xing's landscape, calligraphy and freehand flower and bird painting, Deng Zhaolin, Yang Jingguo's calligraphy creation achievements are well-known inside and outside the province. It is understood that there are less than 20,000 people in the iron furnace, more than 20 natural villages, and more than 10 museums and calligraphy and painting art galleries built by the peasants themselves. It can be seen that in the peasant class, the current ironpot people's yearning for culture and art is still very strong.
On the occasion of the arrival of the Year of the Dragon in 2024, we have compiled the works of Deng Yimin, Liu Xing, Deng Zhaolin and other calligraphers and painters who have a certain influence inside and outside the province, in order to show the celebration of the upcoming New Year by the Lingshuiyuan Painting and Calligraphy Institute. The purpose of compiling this link is not only to highlight the contemporary culture of the iron furnace, but also to influence the next generation through this change, so that the excellent tradition of the iron furnace can be passed on from generation to generation.

Liu Xing and Deng Zhaolin were both young children of Deng Yimin. When I met Liu Xing, he was probably in the third grade of primary school, and they were both children around ten years old. Because of their love for painting, they often interacted at that time, exchanged and studied together, and established an innocent childhood friendship.
Looking back now, since childhood, they have highlighted their different artistic talents and clues. At that time, Liu Xing's interest and energy were mainly devoted to calligraphy and seal carving, and he just loved painting. Deng Yimin devoted himself to one aspect of painting, saying that it was painting, but now it is actually just graffiti.
After graduating from high school, Deng Yimin entered the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, and Liu Xing studied science at Shaanxi Normal University. Since then, they have gone to school, then went to work, married and had children, worked hard, and taught and educated. For about 40 years, everyone was busy, there was almost no time to contact, and the occasional encounter came and went, and although there was attention, there was no communication as much as when I was a child.
Time flies, and when they meet here today, it has been about fifty years. Today, Deng Yimin is a professor of art at 211 University and a Chinese painter. Liu Xing is already a doctor of fine arts, a calligrapher and painter, and they are all retired.
Looking back on this life, from saying goodbye to my parents, going out of the house to work hard, to now going home to retire, life is over! When he went home again, his parents were long gone, and only his children and grandchildren were waiting for Deng Yimin. Life is so fast, so short, all of a sudden. It's emotional!
Deng Zhaolin and Deng Yimin are in the same village, drinking water from the same well, blowing the wind he blows, and grew up together, they are playmates from toddler, childhood to adolescence, Deng Zhaolin is a scholarly family. Deng Yimin's father and Deng Zhaolin's father are also good friends who support each other and have always had friendly contacts.
Focusing on calligraphy for decades, Tang Zhaolin is now a well-known calligrapher in the financial world, and even more so after his retirement.
They are all art educators who have decades of artistic practice and academic accumulation, as well as rich experience in cultivating talents in higher art education, and have formed their own set of solid artistic concepts and academic persistence. Deng Yimin is a professor of Chinese painters in the academic school. Liu Xing was a Ph.D. calligrapher and painter of the literati school. Tang Zhaolin is a calligrapher in the financial world. Each of them has its own artistic direction and perseverance, and each has its own merits.
Last year, Deng Zhaolin and Liu Xing told Professor Deng Yimin that the iron furnace is the hometown of culture, with profound cultural accumulation, and there are successors, so we should unite to do something for our hometown. In order to promote the high-quality development of hometown culture, make some contributions to the construction of a culturally strong township, and realize the great cause of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. So the calligraphers and painters of the iron furnace in Xi'an were convened, and together they produced the "Lingshuiyuan Painting and Calligraphy Institute Year of the Dragon New Year Exhibition".
