OPPO unveils the Air Glass 3 XR prototype glasses at Mobile World Congress 2024
At Mobile World Congress 2024, OPPO became another tech giant to announce new products. Today, the company unveiled its plans for artificial intelligence and a prototype of future Air Glass 3 XR (extended reality) glasses.
The glasses provide access to OPPO's AndesGPT model through a smartphone, providing users with a "burden-free" AI experience. Obviously, OPPO thought it was too cumbersome to press the button on the phone, so it tried to change that with these glasses.
Weighing only 50 grams, the Air Glass 3 uses a self-developed resin waveguide with a refractive index of up to 170, with a peak eye brightness of more than 1000 nits. Oppo claims that these features ensure that it provides a wearing experience close to that of regular glasses, while also providing the best full-color display in its class.
The glasses are equipped with an AI-powered AI voice assistant powered by AndesGPT and also support touch interaction for control**, voice calls, information display and image browsing. It is equipped with four microphones designed to improve sound isolation, and OPPO also promises a high-quality audio output.
