As a player who loves League of Legends dearly, can't wait to launch the game today. I'm excited about the new season, but also keep an eye out for the changes that come with the update. In order to help more players avoid stepping on pitfalls, I would like to share with you the changes in the S14 version. This time, the changes are focused on the map, Canyon Vanguard, and equipment system. Let's find out!
The terrain change is one of the most obvious changes in this update. Over the past few years, the map of Summoner's Rift has changed little, with only the exception of killing different dragons that changes the jungle terrain, while the lane remains the same. And the current map changes can be described as a stone to stir up a thousand waves. The red side's bottom lane opens up a new lane to make it easier for teammates to squat, but it also makes it easier for opposing players to go around behind you. As an ADC, I always felt a chill in my back and a lot of pressure when I was jungler on the red side. From the designer's point of view, such a change increases the equality of the lower road ecology. Previously, only the blue side had grass in the bottom lane, but now the red side has similar terrain to make the game more balanced. The terrain in the middle lane has not been changed on a large scale, but the grass has been moved away from the line to give the hero room to run. This change will give mages like Radiance, Little Mage, and Fire Man who don't have movement skills more opportunities to play in Ranked Match. As for the topography of the road, there is basically no change, but the grass next to the river has been moved to the entrance and exit of the wild area on the road. However, this change does not solve the problem that the top order does not have a status.
In the S14 release, the positioning and role of the Canyon Vanguard has undergone significant changes. The Canyon Vanguard will now only spawn after 15 minutes, at which point junglers may have an opinion. While the Great Vanguard only takes 15 minutes to appear, the new version also introduces a new creep called the Void Nest Bug, which will appear five minutes after the start of the game. The nest worm will secrete many worms to besiege the player, and it will take time to clean up the nest worms and worms. After killing the Void Hive, teammates receive a buff that deals true burning damage when hitting towers. If the buff stacks 5 stacks, a Void Worm can also be summoned to help push the tower, and it only has a cooldown of 15 seconds. In addition, the Great Vanguard, which refreshes after 15 minutes, is still the Iron Baby who can ram towers, and the player can control the direction of the Vanguard's charge. This change has improved the status of the top laner, and at the same time attracted the attention of more players.
Thankfully, in the S14 version, the designers finally decided to remove the Mythic gear. While the original intention of the designers was to lower the barrier to entry for new players, the appearance of mythic gear disrupted the balance of the game and the strength of the heroes. Only a few heroes and mythic gear can be used to their fullest, which makes the game very boring and unfair. Now, the equipment system will be realigned to make the price/performance ratio of the individual equipment more balanced. Players need to choose the right equipment according to the situation and the needs of their heroes, rather than just blindly chasing certain mythical equipment. This is a huge step forward for the fairness and playability of the game.
The changes in the S14 version are mainly focused on the map, Canyon Vanguard, and equipment system. Changes to the map have increased the equality of the lower lane, the feasibility of the middle lane, and the viewability of the upper lane. The changes to the Canyon Pioneer have improved the status of the top laner and brought a new strategy to the push tower. The removal of mythic gear makes the game more balanced and fair. These changes make the game more fun and challenging, and we believe that players will have more fun in the new season! I'm also looking forward to fighting with you all in the S14 version!
