Ceiling installation is a relatively complex process that requires precise measurements and professional construction techniques. Here are the detailed steps for ceiling installation:
1.Measurement pay-off:
Use a spirit level to determine the indoor horizontal line, measure the ceiling and elevation with a ruler, and confirm the position of each construction, the position line of each model, the position of each hanging point, and the positioning line of furniture.
2.Fixed boom:
The boom is the main load-bearing component of the ceiling and needs to have sufficient bearing capacity. The installation of the boom should be evenly arranged to ensure that the overall force is consistent. The distance between the booms is usually 300-1200mm, and the specific distance is determined according to the area and design requirements of the ceiling.
3.Installing the keel:
The keel is divided into transverse and longitudinal, with the longer one being the main keel and the shorter one being the secondary keel. The main and auxiliary keels are arranged vertically to form a lattice network. When installed, the distance between the main keels is 600-900mm, and the distance between the auxiliary keels is not more than 600mm. For specially shaped ceilings, the arrangement of the keel may need to be adjusted according to the design requirements.
4.Decorative plate installation:
Decorative plates, such as drywall or gusset, are mounted on the keel. Drywall is usually nailed to the keel using an air nail gun, while the gusset is fastened into a slot in the keel. When installing, it should be ensured that the decorative plate is flat and the joints are tight.
5.Ceiling Lighting Installation:
After the ceiling is basically completed, install lighting on the ceiling according to the actual needs. The gypsum board ceiling needs to be installed after the opening, and the gusset ceiling can be partially removed for embedded installation.
6.Check & Adjust:
During the installation process, the horizontality and verticality of the ceiling should be constantly checked to ensure the quality of installation. Use a pull-through wire check to make sure the error is within the allowable range.
7.Acceptance of concealed works:
Before closing the ceiling, it is necessary to check whether all concealed works (such as water and electricity pipelines) are qualified to ensure that there are no potential safety hazards.
8.Sealing and decoration:
For gypsum board ceilings, decorative work such as scraping putty and spray painting is required. The gusset ceiling was already decorated at the time of installation.
9.Cleaning up the site:
Once the installation is complete, clean up the site to ensure that there is no rubbish and debris left behind.
During the whole installation process, it should be ensured that all materials meet the process requirements, and the moisture content of the wooden boom and wooden keel should meet the current national standards. At the same time, attention should be paid to safety during the construction process to avoid the risk of working at height. If you are not familiar with the construction process, it is recommended to hire a professional decoration team for installation. Suspended ceilings
