Because of the existence of market rules, Huawei's smartphone business has suffered great changes, the sub-brand Glory has been divested, Kirin chips have not been put into production for a time, and 5G networks have not been used, resulting in Huawei's market share**. However, in the second half of 2023, the Huawei Mate60 series will make a strong comeback, equipped with Kirin 9000S chips, and Huawei's persistence will finally pay off.
So how did Huawei perform in the domestic smartphone market last year? The results are out, and China's smartphone market is reshuffled again: Huawei fell out of the top five, and the first place is the "big dark horse".
2023 is the year when Huawei's business will return to normal operation, Huawei has gotten rid of the impact of many supply interruptions, and the self-developed HarmonyOS is completely on the right track. In addition, the MateERP system has also been de-beautified, and the joint manufacturer has conquered the 14nm EDA industrial software.
These advances are real, and the most important thing is that in the smartphone business, Huawei Kirin 9000s chip is back strongly. Huawei has solved the production problem of Kirin chips in the mainland ** chain, and Kirin chips are used in products such as Mate60 series, MateX5 and Nova 12 series.
There is also 5G network capability, Kirin + 5G, which quickly caused a rush of consumers to buy. The Mate60 series is in short supply, Huawei has been working overtime to produce, with the support of this mobile phone, how did Huawei perform in the domestic mobile phone market last year? Surprisingly, Huawei fell out of the top five.
According to IDC statistics, the number one smartphone market in China in 2023 is Apple, with a market share of 173%。Apple is a "big dark horse", in 2022, it will only occupy the fourth place in the domestic annual ranking, and it will become the first in just one year.
And Honor is also very powerful, with a market share similar to Apple, ranking first among domestic mobile phone brands and second in China. The third and fifth are OPPO, vivo, and Xiaomi, and Huawei's name is not seen in the top five lists.
Some people may be curious, didn't Huawei's Mate60 series last year sell very well? Why didn't you even make it to the top five. In fact, if you think about it, you can understand that Huawei will go on sale at the end of AugustMate60Pro, and it will only be 4 months before 2024. Considering the lack of production capacity, the Mate60 series did not cause a qualitative change in the annual sales rankings.
Individually, in the fourth quarter of last year, China's smartphone market as a whole shipped 73.9 million units, of which Huawei shipped 10.4 million units, ranking fourth, with a year-on-year increase of 47%, the fastest growth rate among all the brands on the list.
It can be seen that Huawei is already accelerating its return, but the Mate60 series was launched late, and the output is in short supply, otherwise it is not a problem for Huawei to enter the top three in the market at all, and even Huawei will have a place in the annual rankings.
But there is no need to rush, 2024 is a new beginning, this year Huawei will resume the release rhythm of a year of dual flagships, and it is expected to bring P70 in the spring and the Mate70 series in the fall of the second half of the year. In overseas markets, Huawei has also begun to redeploy, and it is bound to regain the lost market share.
I don't know how other manufacturers are feeling, but Apple will definitely feel anxious. Because Huawei has a very large influence in the flagship market and is also Apple's main rival. In the new year, let's look forward to Huawei's new brilliance.
