The design of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is still an unknown, and there are a few that contradict what we've heard about the phone in the past. A few weeks ago, we saw in some patents that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have a wider cover display, which will make it more similar to other foldable phones on the market, such as the Pixel Fold and OnePlus Open, with a wider cover display meaning the phone is easier to handle and looks better.
However, a new rumor has surfaced that the Galaxy Z Fold 6's upper cover display may not be as wide as we saw in the patent file leak a few weeks ago. Sources say that while the cover display will be wider, it will not be as wide as previously implied by the patent.
As you can see from the tweet above, Ice Universe claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 isn't as wide as it appears in the patent drawing, but it's still wide. The source also said that the r-angle of the screen is close to a right angle, which looks similar to what we see on the ZTE Z60 Ultra. The middle frame is also said to resemble a vertical design.
There's a lot to be said about the tweet and the message itself, with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 still a few months away from its official launch, which is expected to be released in July or August of this year. But we can expect early designs and renders to start appearing in a few months and see official renders on the internet a month or two before the official release.
Rumors suggest that Samsung is making some big changes to the foldable phone, and there is even word that a relatively inexpensive Galaxy Z Fold 6 may also appear.
