February 24th is the annual Lantern Festival, in this festival of family reunion, Changxing Village, Yidu Town, Longchuan County held an incense dragon folk activity, bringing a spectacular and festive cultural feast to the local villagers.
It is understood that the folk activities of incense fire dragon in Changxing Village have a history of more than 300 years. Every year on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, men, women and children in the village gather together to dance the homemade incense dragon and go from house to house, praying for good weather and prosperity in the new year, and feeling the lively and festive atmosphere of the Lantern Festival.
Zhang Xiaodong, the person in charge of the incense fire dragon activity, told reporters that when the Yidu incense fire dragon set off, there were dragon balls, gongs and drums, lamps, and carp to lead the way up the mountain. At the scene, the reporter saw the golden dragon body dancing wildly in the night, tumbling up and down, rotating left and right, and the red light flashed everywhere the firelight went, and the scene was lively and spectacular.
Local villagers said that the "incense fire dragon" means a house of golden dragons and a prosperous population. The body of the dragon is made of bamboo strips and rice stalks, even the head and tail are generally 7 to 13 sections, take the singular, each section is densely inserted with burning incense, and the wooden handle is installed below, the more the dragon body incense is inserted, the better the luck will be.
