I drove the tram home for the Chinese New Year, usually 10 hours, but this time I drove for 28 hours, and I just wanted to change the train

The tradition of the Chinese, whether rich or poor, is to go home for the New Year, so during the Spring Festival, the vast majority of outbound travelers will go home for the New Year, and if they have a car at home, most of them are driving home.

First of all, it is difficult to buy a ticket to go home, and going home on Chinese New Year's Eve, it is generally a large family, driving a car, easy to carry luggage, and at the same time going home is also convenient for friends and immediate family, rural transportation related, it takes a lot of time.

At the beginning of last year, I changed to a pure electric car, with a nominal range of 600 kilometers, it is actually very convenient to drive in the city, and the underground parking space is installed with a charging pile, which is very good, saving money and time, and it is not a big problem to run 500 kilometers on a charge.

In the past, when I went back to my hometown, I also drove directly to the battery car, and the journey home was 800 kilometers, basically on the highway, and it took about 1 hour to charge in the service area in the middle, and basically drove home in about 9-10 hours.

So this time I went home on Chinese New Year's Eve, took my family, and planned to drive the tram home, but I didn't expect to really throw myself out of the forest this time.

First of all, due to the cold weather, the whole process of turning on the air conditioning, the cruising range is about 60%, after 8 o'clock in the morning on the highway, the cruising range has been decreasing, at the beginning of the prompt can travel 523km, after about 100km, the remaining mileage dropped to 320km, and then 140km, the remaining mileage of 240km, I think only about 380km.

Originally planned to charge in the service area, can only go so far, when I drove 200 kilometers, I have been very anxious, afraid of running out of power, and finally drove for about 3 hours, drove 300 kilometers, looking for the service area to charge, and the remaining mileage is more than 70 kilometers.

It's good for the New Year, there are so many cars queuing up to charge in the service area, what should I do? I waited in line for about 2 hours, then charged for about 1 hour, charged to 87%, saw that there was still 500 km of mileage, and continued driving.

Based on my experience last time, I think I should only be able to run about 300 kilometers this time, so I plan to run 250 kilometers and recharge. I expected the mileage and made the right decision, but what I didn't expect was that on Chinese New Year's Eve, so many people would drive the tram home like me, and the service area was just as full, and there were more than n cars in front of me.

I had no choice but to look at the map, get off the highway at the intersection 5 kilometers ahead, choose a hotel with a charging station, park the car in the garage to charge, and stay overnight.

It wasn't until 9 o'clock the next morning that I was fully loaded on the highway home, only to have another more than three hours to get home.

In the past, I would leave the house at 8 a.m. and usually get home on time for dinner around 6 p.m.

And this time, I also went out at 8 o'clock in the morning and arrived home around 12 noon the next day, which actually took 24 hours + 4 hours, about 28 hours.

Of course, that's not all 28 hours on the road, but that's the actual time spent, as well as the cost of staying in a hotel in between.

In my opinion, if the mileage back home is more than 350 kilometers, it is very difficult to drive a pure electric car on Chinese New Year's Eve; If it's a hybrid car, such as a gasoline car, the situation will be better, but the charging process in the middle can be very difficult**, and queuing for charging may be the norm.

If I were given another chance, I would definitely not drive an electric car home on an important holiday like Chinese New Year's Eve, because on a normal day, Chinese New Year's Eve should not be an important holiday.
